Mission Description
(Trailblazer), Phainon, and Mydei arrive at Castrum Kremnos. What was once a fierce city filled with the clamor of armaments has become a haunting ruin. Deep within this mobile fortress lies the maddened and fallen Nikador.
- Phainon: ...
- Phainon: It's quieter than I expected...
- Mydei: It's corrupted... but still familiar.
- Mydei: This is Castrum Kremnos.
- Phainon: Times really have changed. Even Nikador's own lands are on the verge of collapse. I haven't seen any sign of Titankin.
- Aglaea sent us to our deaths. Mydei: If even half of Castrum Kremnos' old might remains, it would mean that
- Mydei: This is the outer city corridor. It used to be heavily guarded by soldiers. Even with the two of us working together, we wouldn't have made it past thirty steps.
What if you added me to the count?
Is seeing all this making you homesick?
- Mydei: Think whatever you want.
- Phainon: Yeah, Kremnos used to be the place every warrior longed for.
- Phainon: Kind of a shame you didn't live in that era full of strong warriors, eh Mydei? If all the heroes of the past hadn't fallen one after another, I wouldn't be the only worthy opponent you have left.
- Mydei: Are you scared? It's still not too late to run.
- Phainon: No, I'm just thinking about the warriors who also braved this very corridor in the past. They all ventured towards the city of the Lance of Fury , all just to set their names in gold.
- Phainon: The fortress may be in ruins now, but what we're about to do is no different from what they were striving for back then.
- Coreflame of Strife or die in Kremnos. Phainon: Let's go. We'll take back the
- Phainon: Those are the only two paths to glory we can choose from.
- Phainon: How does it feel to be home again after so long?
- Mydei: Not here. I lived in the inner city.
- the crown prince of Kremnos. Phainon: Oh... As befitting of
- (Talk to Trianne, optional)
- Phainon: Trianne, the road ahead is dangerous. You should stay here and find a safe place to hide.
- Phainon: We'll return once we complete our mission. Then we'll have to trouble you to use the Century Gate again, alright?
- Trianne: Got it. Hide so the baddies can't find me!
Is she really a demigod...
She still looks and acts just like a child.
- Amphoreus. Phainon: Trianne has sacrificed a lot for

- (him/
her) all the historical myths you despise?
Phainon: By the way, aren't you going to tell (Trailblazer) any stories about Castrum Kremnos? Aren't you worried I'll tell - Mydei: I'd like to see you try.
- Phainon: *sigh* It's exhausting talking to you sometimes...
Tell me about this one.
Is this Tetris?
- Titan, built by their followers. Phainon: Castrum Kremnos has been Nikador's territory since ancient times. It's a massive moving fortress that surrounds the
- Phainon: In the age before the Lance of Fury fell from grace, Castrum Kremnos would follow the Lance into battle after battle. It's a city that enforces strict discipline and reveres military might.
- Phainon: Compared to that, the customs of my home feel very unsophisticated.
- (Approach the marked location)
- Mydei: There. Once we pass through that gate, we'll be in the acropolis.
- Phainon: We'll finally see some soldiers roaming about.
- Mydei: They're minions who've succumbed to depravity. Smashing them to pieces would be the greatest mercy.
- (Approach the bridge)
- Phainon: It seems enemies aren't the only things stopping us. This bridge has fallen into disrepair. I suppose even Kremnoan craftsmanship can be unreliable sometimes.
- Mydei: Sorry to disappoint, but the outer city was built by convicts.
- Phainon: No wonder it's so fragile. Maybe these people were taking their grievances out on you.
- Mydei: Doesn't matter. There's no shame in resistance here, whether it's from an adversary or a convict on death row.
- Phainon: Except now, it's stopping the people trying to kill Nikador. It's moments like this that make me miss Tribbie's power.
You never learned the prayer?
- Phainon: Learning and mastering are two different concepts. Without a priest's resonance, an ordinary person would fall into a coma after chanting the first few words of the prayer.
Lucky for you, I'm not an ordinary person.
Let me do it!
- Phainon: Oh? Tribbie taught you how?
Lucky for you, I'm an expert.
- Phainon: Oh? Tribbie taught you how?
- Phainon: I have to say that the ability to perform miracles is innate. Without a priest's resonance, an ordinary person would fall into a coma after chanting the first few words of the prayer.
- Phainon: But since you've volunteered, please be my guest.

- (After repairing the bridge)
- Phainon: Amazing! You do have the touch!
- (After crossing the bridge)
- Phainon: And it's broken again... I guess even a Titan's power isn't enough to stabilize this bridge.
- Mydei: Just like the soul of a criminal: fragile.
- (After interacting with the switch near the gate)
- Phainon: Look, the gate opened—
- Mydei: Genius. We never would have known if you hadn't said anything.
- Phainon: Let's go. We can take a detour from the broken bridge.
- (After going through the gate)
- Phainon: Look, in the sky! That's...
- Mydei: The Blade of Fury — Even if the world lay shattered, it would still hang high above everyone's heads.
- (Approach the marked location)
- Phainon: It's magnificent...
- Mydei: You haven't seen it at its most magnificent.
- Aquila's heavenly kingdom long ago, followed by one city-state after another. Mydei: That's the giant sword Nikador used to destroy
- Mydei: It's not just a weapon, it's the faith of the Kremnoan people. Souls who died heroically on the battlefield will further temper the blade in Nikador's hand, becoming a part of the god-king's power.
- Mydei: Such is the Titan's conquest — Nikador, the Titankin, and the people who have faith in Strife sweep away all their enemies. Even in death, they embrace eternal glory.
- Phainon: I think you're exaggerating a little. I can think of at least three losses suffered by Castrum Kremnos in the Chrysos War, just off the top of my head.
- Mydei: There's no shame in losing to those who conspire and plot in secret. Those weak and despicable individuals are the ones who should be ashamed.
- Zagreus loves teasing you. Phainon: True. "Better to die in battle than return even in glory." The Kremnoan people have always been straightforward. They spend their whole lives running to the battlefield. No wonder
- Phainon: ...But that's all in the past.
- Phainon: Guess what I'm thinking, Mydei?
- Mydei: Probably nothing good. Keep it simple.
- Phainon: This isn't just an expedition. It's also a battle to determine a victor. Since we're already here, why don't we have a match and fight to our heart's content?
- Phainon: Just you and me. Let's recreate the original Kremnos Festival.
- compete to see who can kill the most crazed Titankin. How about it? Phainon: Show me what the grandest fighting competition in Castrum Kremnos was like. Let's gild this expedition with another layer of glory and
- Mydei: What's the prize?
- Phainon: The privilege of delivering the final blow to Nikador.
- Mydei: Interesting. I accept your challenge.
What about me?
Am I the referee?
- Phainon: I know Mydei. He prefers to fight alone. There are two paths ahead. (Trailblazer) and I will take the same one.
- (his/
her) kills to my own count.
Phainon: We won't compete on who's fastest but on the number of trophies, so we'll each be responsible for our own tally. Don't worry. I won't add - Mydei: Doesn't matter to me even if you do.
- Mydei: You don't know the lay of the land, so I'll give you a ten-step head start.
- Phainon: Haha! He already thinks he's won, but I won't decline the offer either. Let's get going, (Trailblazer)!
Go to the temple at the left[]
Step Description
In this war-torn land, the two Chrysos Heirs, Phainon and Mydei, agreed on a spontaneous competition. They split into two paths, each eliminating enemies on the way to Castrum Kremnos. Traps and dangers lurked around every corner in the city, demanding that one proceed with utmost caution.
- (Talk to Mydei, optional)
- Mydei: Why are you still standing there?
- Phainon: Returning the favor. Ten steps are too many, you can have one back.
Continue onward deep into Castrum Kremnos[]
- (After traveling through the Hidden Passage)
- Phainon: Made it! Hopefully the enemies on this side are worthy of our combined might.
- (Approach the marked location)
- Phainon: Finally, opponents who look like they can put up a fight.
- Phainon: Let's go! We're going to win this competition!
- (Enter battle)

- (After the battle)
- You and Phainon defeated 4 Titankins together, and you collected Kremnos crests from their bodies...
- Phainon: That's two down. Not a bad start.
But I counted four...
Not great at math, are you?
- Phainon: We fought them together, so naturally I can only take half the credit. That's what I call fair play.
Why go on separate paths?
Isn't it more dangerous to split up?
- Phainon: Don't worry. Mydei is strong, and so am I.
- Phainon: Did you see the look in his eyes? He's wracked by homesickness and doesn't want to show it to anyone else.
- Phainon: Nothing is more important to Mydei than his people and glory. The city may be in ruins, but... Kremnos is still the only place where he can be free.
- Phainon: Now that we've sent him away, he can go have a good cry wherever he wants.
So, you two are actually really close.
- Phainon: He's both my friend and my foe. It's always been this way. Working with him always brings out my competitive side.
The way you cared... I'm literally in tears...
- Phainon: We've been both friends and foes since the day we met. Working with him always brings out my competitive side.
- Mydei: Why are you just standing there? Giving up already?
- Phainon: What do you know? We're talking strategy here!
- Phainon: Let's go, (Trailblazer). The competition might not be the real goal, but I still really hate losing.
- (After heading through the second door)
- Phainon: Whoa... That's impressive.
- Phainon: Following an iron chain, onto the path leading to the giant sword on the other side? This is more like it!
- (Investigate the spot, optional)
- The Kremnoan follows you with his eagle-sharp gaze. You're sure he can keep his eyes open day and night without blinking.
- (Approach the marked location)
- Phainon: Huh? When did you get over there?
- Mydei: I told you before that you don't know the lay of the land in this city. That's why you won't beat me.
- Mydei: And just so you know: I'm at six.
- Phainon: Wow, seems like luck is on your side. Our path was a little lax on security. Not to worry though, I'll catch up once we cross this iron chain bridge.
- Mydei: Assuming you can get across. Do you see the lightning bolts striking the chain?
- Phainon: It doesn't look like ordinary lightning, which means mindlessly running across would spell certain death.
- Phainon: There happens to be a Prophecy Tablet here though. Let's go take a look. Maybe it'll help us.
Use the Prophecy Tablet to shut the thunderbolt[]
- (Approach the chain, optional)
- Phainon: Best keep a safe distance from that chain until we find a way to get rid of the lightning.
- (Investigate the Prophecy Tablet)

- Phainon: Great. Should be smooth sailing from here.
- Phainon: How's it going? You look stumped. I'll be going on ahead though.
- Mydei: Mere lightning won't stop a warrior of Castrum Kremnos.
Cross the chain bridge to the other side[]
- (Begin crossing the iron chain)
- Phainon: Whoa! You're nimbler than I thought!
- Mydei: Worry about yourself. There's an endless abyss below us.
- Mydei: —That's more like it!
- Phainon: You practically have nine lives and, on top of that, you're lucky? I'm almost jealous.
- (After crossing the iron chain)
-
- (Unlock Achievement High-Altitude Shuttle Run)
- Phainon: Whew... That was a close one. Thankfully we both have a remarkable sense of balance.
Investigate the safe zone to collect information[]
- Phainon: So, this is a lounge? It feels out of place.
- Phainon: Maybe this is where all the warriors in the past took their breaks during competitions.
- (Attempt to leave the room, optional)
- Phainon: Wait, (Trailblazer), don't leave yet. My intuition tells me this room is still hiding a secret.
- (Condition missing)
- Phainon: Why don't we keep searching? I get especially lucky when I'm with you. Maybe we'll find some hero's lost treasures.
- (Investigate the abandoned belongings)
- Phainon: Hm... Just regular old bits and pieces. Nothing that stands out.
- Phainon: There's a thick layer of dust. Guess no one's been here for a long time. They must have been left behind by Mydei's people when they departed.
Who are his people exactly?
- Okhema, but it's hard to tell just by appearance. Phainon: You've likely seen them in
It's hard to imagine people used to live here...
- Phainon: It was a city of warriors, but ordinary citizens lived here too.
- Phainon: They look the same as anyone else. They just have traditions that are slightly... different from ours.
- (Investigate the Divine Echo)
- Phainon: It's a gadget that records your voice. People don't like this sort of thing nowadays.
- Phainon: Why don't you hold on to it, (Trailblazer)? It makes a sound when you shake it. Should make for an interesting collectible.
- Phainon: Give you something to show for your trip, in addition to the photos.

- Phainon: It doesn't look like the rest of the things that were left behind. It looks kind of new, in fact. Who could have left this here?
- Phainon: I can't read the runes either. It must be written in an ancient language of Castrum Kremnos.
Let me have a look.
- Phainon: There you go.
It's time to use the Synesthesia Beacon.
- Phainon: What does that mean? Alright, give it a go.

I give up...
I overestimated myself...
- Phainon: Don't worry. We have an expert next door. We can show it to Mydei when we group back up.
- Phainon: Though that does remind me: I've been wondering how you can understand the language and writing we use in Amphoreus when you're from beyond the sky.
Maybe Amphoreus isn't that isolated after all.
Dan Heng and I haven't figured that out yet either.
- Phainon: Did Amphoreus have more dealings with worlds beyond the sky than we thought? But nothing like this was ever recorded in our historical materials.
- Phainon: Maybe your arrival will overturn many things we thought we knew.
Continue onward deep into Castrum Kremnos[]
- (After investigating all three spots)
- Phainon: Well, we've turned over every nook and cranny. It's time to move on.
- (Enter the room at the end of the hallway)
- (Unlock Achievement Alibi)
Phainon: Wait... What's that creature doing? Is it trying to stop us?
- Phainon: It even killed its own comrade... They truly have no honor to speak of.

- (Continue into the room)
- Phainon: The road ahead is blocked by the iron ball...
- Oronyx's Miracle again? Phainon: Can you call upon
- (Attempt to rewind the ball)
- Phainon: No, that's not going to work.
Sorry, it's because I'm too weak...
- Phainon: It's not your fault. Castrum Kremnos is Nikador's territory, after all. The environment is cutting off your ability to resonate with Oronyx.
It's definitely not my fault!
- Phainon: It really isn't. Castrum Kremnos is Nikador's territory, after all. The environment is cutting off your ability to resonate with Oronyx.
- Phainon: In principle, there should be an instrument used by Time Priests somewhere in this fortress... Aha, there it is.
- (Approach Oronyx's Shrine)
- Phainon: What did I tell you? I get especially lucky when I'm with you. This instrument stabilizes the connection between priests and the Three Titans of Fate. Give it a try.
Are there any side effects?
- Phainon: Relax. If something should happen to you, "I'll be sure to pass on your last words to Dan Heng, my friend!"
If something should happen to me...

- Phainon: Don't worry. You'll be just fine.

- Phainon: Not bad. Something feels different about you already.
- Phainon: Why don't you give it another go?
- (After successfully rewinding the ball)
- Phainon: That's it! Nice work.
- (Continue down the hall into the main area)
- ...!
- Phainon: From the sound of things, we're about to lose if we don't step it up.
- (Approach a landing)
- Phainon: Careful. We're getting very close to the Blade of Fury...
- (Approach the group of enemies)
- Phainon: This is the center all right. That's a sizable formation.
There's a lot of them...
- Phainon: In other words, this is our chance to overtake Mydei.
Now there's a chance to take the lead!
- Phainon: My thoughts exactly. You have the heart of a fighter, my friend.
- Phainon: If the records are correct, directly beneath the Blade of Fury lies the world-renowned Kremnos Arena. The path before us leads either to glory or to death...
- Phainon: Of course, glory is ours, and death is theirs!

- Trailblazer: "And the Galactic Baseballer!"

Furiae Archer ×2,
Furiae Warrior ×1,
Furiae Philosopher ×1)
-
- Phainon: "What a savage hit! The Baseballer shows no mercy to their enemies. Can you hear that? The crowd's roaring in approval!"
- Trailblazer: "Hmm... This requires a bit of imagination."

Furiae Philosopher ×1,
Furiae Praetor ×1,

- Phainon: "With their exceptional strength and perfect teamwork, these two gladiators have bested every opponent..."
- Mydei: "...but the glory they've been striving for has not come as anticipated."
- Phainon: How disappointing — no sign of the Titan at all. Is Nikador hiding somewhere?
- Mydei: They're most likely in the Soul-Forging Zone.
- Mydei: The path is right behind you.
- Phainon: Thanks. What about you?
- Mydei: I'll take the other path. It's crawling with parasites.
- Phainon: You've definitely had the upper hand in this competition. (Trailblazer), shall we go?
- Phainon: Well, it's not every day you see a view like this. Go ahead and capture it with the photostone.
She is likely not interested in such scenery.
I'll take a photo of it then.

Did we mention her to you before?
- Phainon: You guys mentioned her in the Vortex of Genesis earlier.
- Phainon: I must say, her name is pretty unconventional, wouldn't you agree?
- Phainon: You must really value your friendship with her to go through all this effort to document the journey for her.
She is an important friend.
- Phainon: Yeah, I can tell.
She was supposed to be here, but she's not feeling well.
- Phainon: Ah, that's unfortunate.
- Phainon: Honestly, seeing how you both look out for your friend has furthered my trust in you.
- Phainon: A person's true character often comes to light in their friendships. Most of what my teacher taught me has slipped away, but this sentence is still vivid in my memory.
- Phainon: Especially in these tumultuous times, friends who you can trust completely are a rare and precious find.
- Phainon: Let's keep going. We can't let Mydeimos get too full of himself. The Prophecy Tablet might be able to unlock that closed gate.
Use the Prophecy Tablet to open the door[]
- (After solving the Prophecy Tablet)
- Phainon: There, all done! Let's move on.
Continue onward deep into Castrum Kremnos[]
- (Approach the marked location)
- Phainon: According to Mydei, we need to go deeper into Castrum Kremnos. It's that way.
- Phainon: But there's another exit here. I wonder where it leads.
- Phainon: Maybe we can use the iron ball to smash through the roadblock. Hopefully, it leads to Castrum Kremnos's treasure vault. Otherwise, it might not be worth the effort.
- Phainon: There's one upstairs. Maybe we can figure out a way to get it down.
- Phainon: Choose any path you like. It's entirely up to you.
Solve the mechanism of the room and continue your exploration[]
- (Approach the broken pillar)
- Phainon: Blocked path? That won't stop us!
- (Approach the staircase)
- Phainon: Why's the staircase blocked? Weird to think that people lived here.
Continue onward deep into Castrum Kremnos[]
- (Approach the marked location)
- Phainon: Well done! Go claim our rewards — no one else in Kremnos will have any use for them anyway.
- (Continue through the door)
- Phainon: A fallen Titan, soulless kin, and a desolate fortress...
- Phainon: This place has fallen pretty far from the way people remember it.
- (Continue through the second door, onto the bridge)
- Phainon: We meet again! What's your count so far?
- Mydei: Thirty.
- Phainon: That's not too far off. We still stand a chance.
- Phainon: I just remembered — we came across a slate with inscriptions in an ancient language of Castrum Kremnos. Could you help translate it?
- Mydei: Is it beyond your knowledge, amateur historian?
- Phainon: Sadly, yes. You are my only hope now.
- Mydei: You just keep having fun. I've got better things to do.
- (Begin descending the staircase towards mural)
- Phainon: There's another mural up ahead. Want to take a closer look?
- (Investigate the mural, optional)
- Phainon: Looks like they're creating Titankin. Maybe this is what "Soul-Forging" means?
- Phainon: Crafting a body from rough stones and then infusing it with a god's golden blood to bring it to life...
- Phainon: No wonder Castrum Kremnos keeps winning battle after battle. With this method, they can create as many soldiers as they want...
- (Approach the marked location)
- Phainon: How did you beat us here again? But there are still plenty of enemies around. What's wrong? Already tired?
- Mydei: I gave you two this final chance on purpose. If you're not interested, fine.
- Phainon: Well, how generous of you. This is the Stockpiling Zone — we must be getting close to Nikador.
- Mydei: That's right. But by the time you arrive, he might already have fallen by my hand.
- Phainon: Then we must act quickly. We can't let you die right before our eyes, can we?
- Want to clean up this area and increase our trophy count? Phainon: We'll be meeting up with Mydei soon.
- Phainon: Victory or defeat, it all comes down to this, (Trailblazer).
- (Approach the Hand of Zagreus control platform)
- Phainon: The path is cut off. But how did he get through? Did... he set up this roadblock on purpose?
Kremnoan people sure are cunning!
- Phainon: He might look honest, but he's a lot shrewder than he seems.
It's all in your head.
- Phainon: He might look honest, but he's a lot shrewder than he seems.
Let me jump across—
- Phainon: Hold your horses! We're not exactly immortal here.
- Phainon: Enough joking. Let's look around...
- Hand of Zagreus. Let's use it to fill the crack in the path. Phainon: This might come in handy — the stone table for the
The Hand of Zagreus?
- Phainon: Simply put, Zagreus is the Titan of trickery — thievery, deception, and betrayal, these unsavory acts are all tied to them.
- Phainon: That Titan has fallen, but they left "Bewitching Hands" scattered all over the world. Now, people use these giant hands to move things around — and, well, to steal things, too.
Let's get a move on. I'll stop with the questions.
- Phainon: I don't normally approve of this, but given the circumstances, let's use it this one time.
- (Engage the Hand of Zagreus)
Hand of Zagreus is the divine body left behind by Zagreus, the Trickery Titan. After the Titan had fallen, the people of Amphoreus learned to modify and utilize them.

While controlling the Hand of Zagreus, interact with the golden Zagreus rune to perform a Bridge Action, forming a bridge where the rune is located to provide passage to the Trailblazer.

- (Approach the blocked path)
- Phainon: Ugh, not again.
- Phainon: This time, we might be able to use it to blow away the barrier.
- (Continue towards stone ball)
- Phainon: So many stones here. I wonder how many war machines can be built with all this?
- Phainon: But after today, they'll be slumbering here forever.
- (After engaging the mechanism)
- Phainon: This should work now. Let's just hope no more strange mechanisms get in our way.
Meet up with Mydei[]
- (After turning the corner in the hallway)
- Phainon: Look, someone's getting impatient.
- (Approach Mydei)
- Mydei: You took your sweet time.
- Phainon: Apologies, but someone forgot to clear out the obstacles along the way.
- Mydei: Enough chatter. Show me your tally.
- Mydei displays the thirty Castrum Kremnos crests in his collection.
- Compare the total number of crests you obtained with Mydei's...
- (If you have more than 30 Castrum Kremnos crests)
-
- Phainon: Aha! Looks like we won!
- Mydei: ...
- Mydei: Well, I'm a man of my word. You can deliver the final blow.
- Phainon: Wait... On second thought, the stakes seem a bit too high. Deciding who gets the glory with just one competition might be disrespectful to the gods.
- Phainon: Let's change the stakes. You can just share half of your spoils with us. As for Nikador, we can take him down together.
- Mydei: ...The real question is if we can pull it off.
- Mydei: Well, here's your spoils.
- (If you have less than 30 Castrum Kremnos crests)
-
- Phainon: ...Looks like I could work on my skills a bit more.
- Phainon: Well, I'm a man of my word. You can deliver the final blow to Nikador.
- Mydei: Giving away the glory of delivering the final blow that easily? I thought you were a real warrior.
- Phainon: I guess being the crown prince of Kremnos makes you obsessed with all this ceremonial stuff.
- Mydei: Deciding who gets the glory with just one competition might be disrespectful to the gods. Let us declare no victor and continue on—
- Mydei: Nikador's soul should be claimed by true warriors.
- Phainon: Surprisingly, your words can sometimes be music to my ears.
- (If you have exactly 30 Castrum Kremnos crests)
-
- Phainon: It's a tie. Funny how things work out, huh?
- Phainon: In that case, how about we deliver the final blow to Nikador together? What do you say?
- Mydei: Since there is no victor, let's continue on—
- Mydei: Nikador's soul should be claimed by true warriors.
- Phainon: Haha, it's settled then. Let's divide the glory equally.
- Phainon: They're right up ahead, then?
- Mydei: There's just a faint scent, but I'm certain they're here. We're about to cross paths with Strife.
Continue onward deep into Castrum Kremnos[]
- (Approach the lion sculpture)
- Verax Leo? Phainon: Wow, look at this big guy. Could this be
- Chryseus Leo, not some rumor-spouting gossip-monger. Mydei: Show some respect. This is
- Mydei: Chryseus Leo was the top advisor in Castrum Kremnos, whose wise counsel helped my tribe win many battles and thwart numerous schemes.
- Mydei: Sadly, he has lost his voice now. If only the Chrysos Heirs could benefit from his wisdom—
- Chryseus Leo: M—Mydeimos...
- Chryseus Leo: Crown... prince?
What's that sound!?
He... He speaks!
- Mydei: ...Leo?
- Mydei: After all these years, you're still awake?
- Chryseus Leo: M—Mydeimos...
- Chryseus Leo: I could never... forget your voice. I've been waiting for this moment... all along.
- Mydei: Please, teacher, share your wise counsel with me!
- Chryseus Leo: Crown prince... Castrum Kremnos has lost everything — its people, traditions... and most importantly, its glory.
- Mydei: To survive, our people have migrated, and our traditions have faded with time. But glory? Even though it has vanished into the mist and its walls have crumbled, Castrum Kremnos has never forsaken the glory of its warriors. Why say otherwise?
- Chryseus Leo: Our god has completely lost their sanity. No longer a revered symbol of war, they have fallen and are now plotting an evil scheme...
- Chryseus Leo: I urge you, Mydeimos, to put an end to their endless suffering. Allow them to die as a warrior! They must... go with honor...
- Chryseus Leo: ...
- Mydei: Teacher?
- Mydei: Teacher, answer me! As your crown prince, I command you—
- Phainon: ...Mydei.
- Phainon: Let him rest. He must be exhausted.
- Mydei: ...
- Mydei: ...Perhaps those were just the delirious words of a dying lion. I shouldn't overthink it. Let's keep going.
- Phainon: Hold on. This is the slate that I mentioned earlier. We couldn't decipher it.
- Phainon: Maybe it's connected to the scheme the old lion mentioned.
- Mydei: Hand it to me.

Castrum Kremnos' Archaic Language Slate - ...The black tide may be an indescribable enemy, but if exploited carefully, it can also become a sharp weapon pointed at our archenemy.
Infiltrators can be instructed to transport a load of tainted Titankin covered in special earth, so that they may be smuggled among dromas caravan goods into Okhema. Upon entry, under the cover of the Curtain-Fall Hour, the personnel will stash the kin in various sections of the city. After a few days, the earth will weather and peel, suffocating the streets of Okhema with Titankin's tainted air.
When this moment arrives, the Okhemans will be frantically searching for the source of the pollution. We just have to wait for the chaos to unfurl to take the final step to victory: Gather the heroic souls within the city, let the divine blade of wrath point at Okhema, and run Strife's blade through the entire city — after which, our forces will overwhelm them like an ocean wave crashing into them, and the long-awaited victory will finally fall into our grasp.
- Mydei: No... Nikador would never...
- Phainon: That explains the surprise attack on Okhema. I didn't think that the mad Titan could have orchestrated it...
- Mydei: Okhema is on the brink of destruction. Someone needs to go back and rescue them.
- Phainon: ...
- Phainon: N—No, we need to press on and finish our mission.
- Mydei: Are you blinded by glory? As I said before, victory only lies in assembling a full-fledged army.
- Phainon: We're just one step away from Nikador. Defeat the source of the evil, and the threat will vanish on its own.
- Phainon: Just like that decisive strike, there is no turning back for us. Nikador could drive Okhema to the brink of ruin, but we can do the same to them.
- Phainon: Besides, I have faith in Aglaea and Tribbie. With two demigods and our allies watching over Okhema, they should be more than capable of protecting the holy city.
Dan Heng is there too.
We can't let our efforts go to waste.
- Mydei: ...
- Mydei: ...Alright, I'll trust your judgment this time. Let's hope we don't end up in an abyss of regrets.
- Mydei: Nikador... Has your divine body truly been hollowed out by the hands of madness? Have you completely forsaken your dignity as a warrior?
Mission Description
Through Chryseus Leo, (Trailblazer) and the party learned that the maddened Nikador is planning a devastating attack on Okhema. With events taking this dire turn, their only option is to press forward and eliminate the source of this malevolence.- (Exit the building)
- Mydei: The sweltering heat — the Titan's wrath has set the air ablaze.
- Phainon: Yeah, we're getting pretty close—
- (Approach the marked location)
- Phainon: It's getting even hotter. Is this place still in use?
- Mydei: After we pass through here, we'll reach the Soul-Forging Zone.
- Phainon: The heat is unbearable, and all these thoughts are echoing in my head...
- Phainon: On second thought, this could very well be where we meet our end, right?
- Mydei: Be careful. Your thoughts are being corrupted by Strife.
- Phainon: You're right. It was my decision to keep pushing forward. And with (Trailblazer) here, we're sure to complete our mission and return safely.
- Phainon: Just like the path ahead, even though it's completely dilapidated, it will still lead us to our final destination.
- (Approach the Hand of Zagreus control platform)
- Mydei: Let me smash it—
- Phainon: Hold your horses! Don't waste your energy here — use your head.
- Phainon: Looks like we'll need to use the hand again.
- (Engage the Hand of Zagreus)

- (Head down the Hand of Zagreus)
- Phainon: Look out! An enemy!
- Mydei: Put your sword away... It seems to still be rational.
- Mydei: We might be able to get some clues from it.
- (Approach the Titankin)
- Sculpting Zone Strong Man: All hail Nikador, my master and guide.
- Sculpting Zone Strong Man: Immortal soul of war, ever by my side.
- Mydei: Titankin, let me ask you this: Is Castrum Kremnos planning to destroy Okhema?
You don't beat around the bush, do you?
- Mydei: What do you propose? I'm all ears.
This might be above its pay grade.
- Mydei: There aren't any other options.
- Sculpting Zone Strong Man: All hail Nikador, my master and guide.
- Sculpting Zone Strong Man: Immortal soul of war, ever by my side.
- Phainon: It is indeed rational, but just barely.
- Mydei: "Immortal soul of war"...
- Mydei: Let's keep going. There might be other Titankin nearby we can talk to.
- Phainon: Aren't you going to "take care" of it?
- Mydei: If you see it as a threat, go ahead. I have no reason to do it.
- (Kill the Sculpting Zone Strong Man, optional)
- Mydei: Your ruthlessness is akin to that of the executioners in Castrum Kremnos.
- Phainon: Let me translate that for you... Actually, I'm not sure what it means either.
Continue to search for and talk with other Titankin[]
- (Approach the Titankin)
- Sculpting Zone Scholar: Sculpt an indestructible body with steel that never rusts.
- Sculpting Zone Scholar: The all-powerful Nikador, ruler of all lands. The all-divine Nikador, bringer of a thousand fears.
- Phainon: "An indestructible body"...
- Phainon: The Nikador that attacked Okhema was only a double. Considering what the Titankin said, could there be more of them in Castrum Kremnos?
- Mydei: By the end of the war, Nikador had succumbed to madness, and their divine power dwindled. Now, the Titan's remaining strength is less than a tenth of what it once was.
- sic] might have stabilized their power, but instead of a glorious death, they chose to drag out their miserable existence. How tragic. Mydei: Creating doubles for themself [
- Phainon: They seem to have forfeited all their dignity as a warrior. Leading your people away from here was the right choice, Mydei.
- Mydei: There's no need to glorify my choice, Deliverer. It was just a self-imposed exile that cost me my pride. Not something worth celebrating in a song.
- Mydei: But if the Titankin's words are true, going up against Nikador is destined to be a bitter fight.
- Speaking of indestructible bodies, you're quite the expert in that area yourself. Phainon:
- Mydei: You talk too much.
- Phainon: (Trailblazer), did I ever tell you? The Chrysos Heirs are all endowed with unique powers.
- Phainon: Legend has it that Mydei, the invincible crown prince of Kremnos, has a talent for "defying death."
- (Approach the Titankin)
- Sculpting Zone Supervisor: Martyrs, consecrate your souls of war for the Lance of Fury...
- Sculpting Zone Supervisor: You shall become Nikador's blade... to pierce through the enemy's heart and core...
- Sculpting Zone Supervisor: You shall be the timber to nourish the Coreflame... to reduce the decayed world to ashes...
- Phainon: "Reduce the decayed world to ashes"? With nefarious schemes?
- Mydei: They've been twisted by madness, just like Castrum Kremnos. They remember how to kill, but they've forgotten why.
- Phainon: I've always believed that killing with blades isn't any nobler than killing with subterfuge.
- Phainon: Aside from one's mission and survival, no other reason can justify violence.
- Mydei: That's where we differ. For my tribe, glory and conquest are also valid reasons.
- Phainon: But deep down, you don't really agree with that, do you?
- Mydei: ...
- Sculpting Zone Supervisor: Martyrs...
- Phainon: Hmm? Was it facing us the whole time?
I wasn't paying attention either...
Isn't it kind of cute how slowly it speaks?
- Mydei: ...Ready your arms!
- Sculpting Zone Supervisor: For the Lance of Fury...
- Sculpting Zone Supervisor: Consecrate your souls of war!
- (Begin battle against
Furiae Philosopher ×1,
Furiae Praetor ×1,
Furiae Archer ×1)
- (After the battle)
- Phainon: I've given up on figuring out the logic of these minions. They're just pure chaos.
- Mydei: No matter. You and I will soon bring this madness to a close.
- Mydei: Are you ready, Deliverer?
- Phainon: Always. Bearing the Coreflame of Strife... has been my deep-seated desire.
Go and meet Nikador, Lance of Fury![]
- Phainon: We're so close to the fall of a Titan... It feels unreal.
- Mydei: Don't think of them as a god. It's just you, me, and them — warriors in a fight to the death.
- (Approach the door)
- Phainon: That oppressive feeling from earlier — it's back. Do you feel it, (Trailblazer)?
- Phainon: But that bluster is no longer pure. It's mingled with the scent of blood and the cries of lost souls...
- Phainon: The fate I've been hoping for... lies behind this door.
- (Approach the marked location, through the double doors)
- Mydei: Remember, you insisted that we come here. Now, show us that cursed resolve!
- Phainon: But how can I pretend that this is just an ordinary battle?
- Phainon: My mission and purpose... all depend on this. Can you forget the suffering of your people and your corroded homeland?
- Mydei: Never! But I've learned a method you probably wouldn't understand.
- Mydei: All the anger and regret I feel right now, I've learned to control them and hone them into a razor-sharp weapon for my use...
- Mydei: It has a simple name: intent to kill.
- Phainon: You really are a beast.
- Phainon: But right now, perhaps it's best for us to submit to the beasts inside.
- Mydei: Corrupted god! Face me and meet your doom!
- Mydei: I am a son of Kremnos and a Chrysos Heir of the prophecy, and I now offer you the fairest deal—
- Mydei: I trade a thousand scars and a hundred lives of mine for your glorious death!
- (Begin battle against
Savage God, Mad King, Incarnation of Strife)
- Phainon: Mydei, I may not be able to fight like you...
- Phainon: But I will do battle in my own way and bring down this god!
- (After the "War Armor" is destroyed)
- Phainon: Stop hiding behind those pathetic doubles! We'll crush you!
- (After the beginning of phase two)
- Mydei: Finally ready to reveal your true self, Titan?
- Mydei: Feel the wrath of humanity, corrupted god!
- (When Savage God, Mad King, Incarnation of Strife is reduced to 40% HP)
- Phainon: They're already near their end!
- Phainon: Shatter the armor of Strife and strip away the Coreflame!
- (Cutscene plays)
-
- Mydei: Immortal wretch... how amusing.
- (Cutscene ends)
- Phainon: The souls of war are amassing in the skies above Kremnos... surging toward the Blade of Fury!
- Kephale's body! Phainon: They have no intention of winning the fight. Instead, they're using death after death to temper their blade... Even with a hundred deaths, they've resolved to pierce through
- Mydei: All their honor is gone... How did the god of our tribe fall so low?
- Mydei: Deliverer, here is your moment.
- Mydei: I'll hold them off here and keep them from wielding the Blade of Fury. You need to head back and notify the two demigods.
- Phainon: Are you out of your mind, facing the Titan alone? I'm staying too. (Trailblazer), please—
- Mydei: Get lost! Do you have to make me say this?
- Mydei: I must stay here, not for Okhema's safety, but to settle the score with my god.
- Mydei: Even if immortality is a curse, it shouldn't be used so despicably.
- Phainon: ...
- Mydei: Go, Deliverer. Your battlefield lies elsewhere.
- Phainon: ...Stay strong. Try not to get killed too many times.
- Mydei: Finally, some peace.
- Mydei: You and I — two warriors rejected by death. Is there any contest more fair than this?
- Mydei: Come forth! The king who has never claimed his throne, against the god who has fallen from grace. How perfectly matched we are!
- Mydei: Let's battle till the world's final breath!
- The rubble seals Mydei and Nikador within Castrum Kremnos, locked in a battle to the death. You and Phainon retreat using the opportunity and return to Okhema...
- (Mission completed)
- (Investigate the rubble afterward, optional)
- Mydei and Nikador's battle cries can be heard from beyond the crumbling walls... Don't let Mydei's desperate struggle be in vain. Hurry up and uncover Nikador's secrets as fast as you can.
