The Twilight Courtyard is a medical institution previously located in Amphoreus' Grove of Epiphany, often regarded as a clinic.[1]
Overview[]
The Courtyard's original variation was destroyed over time by the black tide, war, and disasters.[1] When Hyacine arrived at the Grove of Epiphany, she rebuilt the Twilight Courtyard there and brought back its name, being regarded its chief healer and manager.[1][2]
History[]
The Twilight Courtyard was once a healing haven that bridged day and night, and was a place where the Skyfolk coexisted.
The earliest variation of the Twilight Courtyard was formed under the Unnamed Chrysos Heir, and was said to be "repeatedly extorted and expelled" by the people of the ground. This changed when General Ektra took charge, leveraging her medical expertise to create an alliance with Okhema. From there, the Skyfolk of the Twilight Courtyard enjoyed a peaceful near-century, until Okhema's political unrest led them to wander again. To try and secure peace with the people of Castrum Kremnos, Jacyntha, the grandmother of Hyacine, entered the Kremnos Festival, willing to "exchange honor for a peace treaty." Her efforts were for naught, as she was slain by Krateros in the final battle of the Festival.[3]
After Jacyntha's death, the remaining members of the Twilight Courtyard "scattered in all directions," falling into relative obscurity.[3] Hyacine eventually made her way to the Grove of Epiphany with her winged beast, Little Ica, establishing a new Twilight Courtyard there. Through her work, Hyacine gained the favor of many Chrysos Heirs and regular civilians, joining the Nousporists and also becoming Anaxa's assistant lecturer. The Twilight Courtyard then moved to Okhema after the fall of the Grove of Epiphany to the black tide in Light Calendar Year 4931, with Hyacine maintaining her role as head nurse.[citation needed]
With the assassination Aglaea in Light Calendar Year 4932, Hyacine passed control of the Twilight Courtyard to Clementine, as she then headed to the Eye of Twilight to face Aquila for the Coreflame of Sky.[4]
