The Titans of Amphoreus are the forces that sustain the heavens and the earth, the fates flowing from ancient times to the present, and the rules governing all things in the world.
Mortals live within their joys and sorrows — knowledge, war, love, life, and death are all deeply entwined with their divine authority.

The Titans are a group of divine beings born from Coreflames sent down by the gods of Amphoreus.[1] Each Titan has an associated Coreflame, and whoever conquers a Coreflame's Trial can inherit the Titan's divinity and become a demigod.[2]
The Titans were responsible for the creation of the first heaven, earth, mortals, and the Light Calendar.[3] At this point, all the Titans have fallen, and the Chrysos Heirs are prophesied to take up the Coreflames.

Trivia[]
Etymology[]
- In Greek mythology, the Titans were a group of twelve gods. Like their parents, the primordial deities, the Titans were eventually overthrown by the next generation of gods — the Twelve Olympians.
- The Flame-Chase Journey as a whole is likely inspired by the succession myth described in Hesiod's Theogeny, with the Chrysos Heirs mirroring the Olympian gods in their battle against the Titans and becoming the new gods in the Titans' place.
Notes[]
- ↑ Hysilens holding the Coreflame of Ocean can be deduced by process of elimination. In Divergent Universe: Protean Hero, all Titan Odes have corresponding Golden Blood's Boons which are associated with a specific character. With all other Titan Odes accounted for, the only option left for "Chalice of Plenty" is Hysilens, which is associated with Phagousa and the Coreflame of Ocean.
- ↑ Phainon occupies the Worldbearing slot in As I've Written, which is associated with Kephale.
