Those from the past rush by in a fleeting lifetime, those from the future stretch into an endless night — oh, lost wanderer, cross that uncharted River of Souls, and step into the blooming fields of Antila flowers.
It's been some time since you repelled the Flame Reaver and reclaimed the Coreflame of Oronyx. Now, you've been invited by the Chrysos Heirs to challenge the Trial of Time. But this trial lies not in the past or present — it dwells in the future. You've been told that you actually perished during your fall into Amphoreus, and what remains is merely a walking memory. To complete the trial and save yourself, you must reclaim your future.
With the Reason Coreflame, Anaxa reached out to the Council of Elders, promising to help topple the Chrysos Heir and end the Flame-Chase Journey in exchange for their protection. As the cooperation sealed, Anaxa, under the guidance of Theoros, set out for the Titan Cliff to meet Kephale's mystical body. On the treacherous ascent, he once again brushed death, witnessing haunting memories.
After the black tide devastated the Grove, Dan Heng returned with Hyacine's help to salvage data on Sky Titan. During this search, the two stumbled upon records about Anaxa. As they dug deeper, they uncovered Anaxa's true goal: To fuse himself with the Titan's Coreflame.
To prevent the Reason Coreflame from falling into the Council of Elders's scheming hands, you and Aglaea raced to Dawncloud, hoping to take Anaxa away. However, during a public assembly, the Council shifted blame onto the Chrysos Heir. Backed by Anaxa and Castorice, Elder Caenis promoted the possibility of "return to Era Chrysea," leaving the decision to citizens' assembly on whether to halt the Flame-Chase Journey.
Castorice revealed why she sided with the Council of Elders — her reward was the whereabouts of Death Titan. In Anaxa's exploration of Kephale's memories, it was uncovered that a pair of twins had passed the Titan's trial — one perished, and the other became the Death Titan. These clues are now key to your salvation.
Reaching Styxia, encircled by the River of Souls, was no easy feat. Aglaea spared no expense to summon Cipher, the demigod of Trickery, back to the city, hoping she could lend a hand. One midnight, you heard Castorice knocking on your door, and together you wandered through Okhema City, discussing her past in Aidonia. However, a well-planned gift she prepared was stolen by a thief. After a chaotic pursuit, you arranged to meet Cipher outside the city and set off for Styxia.
In Styxia, you and Castorice witnessed the tormented souls trapped between life and death, victims of Amphoreus' broken cycle. As your journey deepened, Castorice learned from ghosts the tale of a stranded Netherwing and a girl that would bring death. It became clear that Thanatos had perished in the River of Souls in a bid to revive his sister, while Castorice herself was the girl of death. With help, you and Castorice forged an alchemy matrix atop the tower, birthing the Netherwing. As your own future dwindled, Castorice rode the dragon back to the nether realm, completing the Death trial and claiming demigodhood.
As the fifteenth Entry Hour approached its end, Phainon, on behalf of the Chrysos Heirs, delivered a stirring speech urging the continuation of the Flame-Chase Journey at the citizens' assembly, earning widespread approval. Anaxa's soul, witnessing the twin within Kephale's mind, realized that finishing the journey would make him a Titan of Era Nova. With that, he cast his final shard, securing the assembly's vote to proceed with the journey. After betraying the Council, Anaxa revealed his sin of blasphemy and told the citizens that the Council had committed the same crime as he did.
Scholar, Let Us Meet Again Before the Gates of Truth
After gaining the power of Thanatos, Castorice guided you using memories of your life to resist the temptation in the land of death, helping you escape the nether realm. You and Castorice hugged each other before she entrusted you with the Death Coreflame and returning to the underworld and maintaining Amphoreus' life-death balance. Returning to the Vortex of Genesis, you restored the Death Coreflame under the watchful eyes of Chrysos Heirs. Together, you witnessed Anaxa's final act — completing the Reason trial, taking the Coreflame out from his chest, and vanishing once and for all.
After Welt and Sunday interrupted the audience with Nous, Herta took interest in Amphoreus, using the magic mirror to warp her "data spirit entity" into its entrance. Lygus soon appeared, invoking the threat of "Lord Ravager," warning Herta against treading further.
