Sushang: The Luofu sure feels different from our Yaoqing. The storytellers here never repeat their stories...

Sushang: Oh, I remember you. You're friends with that "Silent but Deadly," right? What can I do for you?

I just want to have a chat with you.

Sushang: What would you like to talk about? I've only been here for a short while. If you want to ask for directions, I'm only familiar with places around Starwatcher Avenue. If you want to know about the Xianzhou culture and whatnot, you've come to the wrong person.

Sushang: But if you happen to enjoy live storytelling performances just like I do, then we're in the same boat and I will chat with you about whatever you like!

Are you on duty here?

Sushang: It's not my shift yet, I'm just killing time and seeing if there's a chance to do a good deed while I'm at it.

Sushang: My mom said, "A Stick in Time Saves Mine...," or whatever the original saying is, I can't remember the whole thing... Ahem, anyway, it means that I'll show up whenever someone needs help from my "stick"!

Sushang: You look like an Outworlder, and you must be new here at the Luofu. If you need my help, you can visit me at any time. As a worthy Cloud Knight, I'll be reliable and helpful and will not bring shame to the Luofu Cloud Knights!

Sushang: Don't ask me about cultural stuff, though. I once met a few travelers who were super into Xianzhou's history and customs. They knew way more than I did. So I had to keep my mouth shut the entire time, trying to act like I knew what they were talking about.

Sushang: Oh, it's you! I was just listening to the new story by Mr. Xiyan about the High-Cloud Quintet... It's different from the version I heard when I was little. He doesn't make up the extra details, does he?

Sushang: By the way, how can I help you?

Now that the crisis is over, are you still busy?

Sushang: Not at all. I've had quite a lot of free time lately.

Sushang: But I can't shake the feeling that I should be doing more. I mean, I'm not one to sit around, and given my background from the Yaoqing, I should've played a bigger role in the recent events.

Do you have any stories to recommend?

Sushang: The Cloud Knight Martyrs, no doubt. I was so into it when I was little. Whenever the storyteller nearby started his session, I would sneak out of my house immediately to listen to him. My mom never failed to haul me back every time.

Sushang: I was actually inspired by that story to join the Cloud Knights.

Why is your sword so heavy?

Sushang: I'm not sure why, but it is a family heirloom, so I guess there's something special about it.

Sushang: My mom always says, "Even if it's too heavy to lift, you still gotta try. Practicing swordplay can be as easy as practicing handwriting, you start with each small stroke." But if you ask me, practicing handwriting is so much harder...

You seem pretty smart to me. Do you really not do well in school?

Sushang: *sigh* If only the abecedaries in the lyceum had your eye for talons. They all said I wasn't cut out for any schoolwork. I only learned how to read a bit, thanks to the few textbooks at the lyceum.

You meant "eye for talent," right?

Sushang: What!? "Talon," "Talent"? They sound the same to me, though. Anyway, it's fine as long as you get what I mean — I was just trying to give you a compliment for your good taste.

Sushang: Did I use the wrong word again? Forget it. I won't remember it anyway. Just know it's a compliment for your good taste.

Sounds like you are not a local here, are you?

Sushang: I grew up in the Yaoqing and have been a hometown girl all my life. This is the first time I've ventured far from home since I joined the Cloud Knights.

Sushang: There are lots of Outworlders here on the Luofu. I've heard about one who likes to fumble around with the cans and bottles alike on the streets. And some time ago, I met a traveling merchant carrying a huge casket. Luofu sure is a welcoming place for visitors.

Sushang: Hehehe, you could've just said something in the group chat. Why go the extra mile? I bet you missed me!

Did your team manage to get to challenge Yanqing in the end?

Sushang: Agh, don't even get me started... Thanks to little Gui, every time we got eliminated, the popularity votes come pouring in like there's no tomorrow!

Sushang: After coming back via repechage three times, the guys said I had to get in the ring and fight instead of sitting on the sidelines. So, I had no choice but to step up and join the fray.

Sushang: In the end, we came back four more times. We were completely worn out, but we couldn't bear to let Little Gui down, so we had to bite the bullet and keep pushing through...

Sushang: Luckily, that Argenti gentleman saw our troubles right away and didn't make us go through the wringer for the eighth time. What a great guy!

Sushang: Still, I have to thank our Little Gui. After this ordeal, my fighting skills have improved by leaps and bounds! who knows, I might just end up defeating Yanqing and becoming the top sword master in the entire alliance!

Sushang: Things are going great! Little Gui's popularity is on the rise, and sometimes she's even getting invited by newspapers as a special expert on "supernatural phenomena". Now that's something to write home about!

Sushang: And Huohuo's really getting gusty these days. She's also becoming more skilled at the judge's qork, like "shooting fish in a barrow". Honestly, I've never quite understodd that phrase - what on earth is "fish in a barrow"?
