Seneca is an NPC on Amphoreus, located in "Warbling Shores" Styxia and Beyond Time: An Eternal Page. She appears in the open world after competing Adventure Mission Where Stone and Wind Stood Still.
Profile[]
In the #33,550,337th Eternal Recurrence, Seneca was born in a frail branch of the Skyfolk's Winterfolk in Light Calendar 3749.[3] Back in the early days of the Chrysos War, the sky bastion she lived in was struck down by Castrum Kremnos, forcing her into exile on the earth below. Later she joined the Twilight Courtyard. She was a Chrysos Heir and served as a general for the Flame-Chase Army of Cerydra, though she does not support her actions. Cerydra is likewise aware of her dislike, though she refrains from having her killed due to her usefulness. She frequently gets into squabbles with Labienus.
In Light Calendar 3960, Cerydra sacrificed five hundred Chrysos Heirs, including Seneca, to gain control of the Law Coreflame. She and Labienus are mortally wounded in a battle, and as Labienus calls for the Imperator, Seneca chastises him, having realized that she had used them knowing they would perish. As Labienus dies from his wounds, Seneca expresses disappointment that she was unable to get her revenge, though she knows that without her, the Imperator's conquest would fail. She hopes that if they met in the River of Souls, she would slice her crown off and states that she did not bow down to her or fate before dying.[3]
After the events of Trailblaze Mission Fallen Petals, Leave Fading Traces of Fragrance, Seneca is revived inside As I've Written.

Dialogue[]
"Warbling Shores" Styxia[]
- (First interaction)
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: ...
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Writing a letter is so *Skyfolk swearing* hard...
Shocking. Dux Brumalis is writing a letter?
I thought you were illiterate.- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: ...Nothing to be surprised about, my (lord/
lady). It's just that I was so busy with my daily affairs that I am out of practice with writing. - "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: It's been a while since my return to the Courtyard. I thought about writing to my mother. After all, I, the Dux Brumalis, am a pillar of the Twilight Courtyard.
Society's leftover, but mama's little pride and joy.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Wh—What leftover! I am the general of the Flame-Chase Army, instated Dux Brumalis by the Imperator herself! Just keep the second half.
Try visiting home often...
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: You think I don't want to? There are ten more military matters waiting, after each one's done. Even during the banquet, there are trivial issues. How can I find time to go home...
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Besides, all Skyfolk should look to Seliose as their example. Only by holding their heads high and never growing complacent can they have a chance to ascend to the skies once more and reclaim their glory...
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Then again, my mother mentioned many young upstarts in the Twilight Courtyard have started to take me as a role model, hahah!
- (Subsequent interactions)
- In the illusion sculpted by the authority of Ocean, a bubble of a drunken demigod emerged...
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Oh, (Trailblazer), let's cheers to this!
No cheers-ing, I just wanna talk.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Sounds good too. Honey brews are the best way to get the conversation flowing. What do you want to talk about?
Let's talk about your past.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: My past? Haha, I never thought someone other than Verginia would be interested in those histories of yore!
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Not that I'm afraid of a little playful teasing. My family hails from a frail branch of the Winterfolk. Back in the early days of the Chrysos War, the sky bastion we lived in was struck down by Castrum Kremnos, forcing us into exile on the earth below.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: You've heard of the sky hero Seliose, right? Her direct bloodline founded the Twilight Courtyard after descending to the land, and we joined them upon hearing the news. That's how the suffering of our scattered hundred finally ended.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: As for me... I'm recognized as the most gifted warrior in our family in over a dozen generations. I led the army to seize the capital of Campa, fought nine battles against the Kremnoan bandits and won seven... Such honors and feats are too many to count.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Even my title, I earned it with my own hands. Pointing a weapon at the monarch to demand a title, there's likely no second soul in all of Amphoreus who's done the same, is there?
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: ...Of course, there's no one else like the Imperator who can still laugh in the face of such insolence and punish before rewarding after, either.
Let's talk about your future.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Future? Unrivalled glory, of course. Of the Imperator, of my own, and of my family.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: I will aid the Imperator in conquering the lands she desires, and I, Seneca, shall be as renowned as Seliose the sky hero, leading the Twilight Courtyard to fulfill their dreams—
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Protect the weak like the Sky, so that they need not fear the unpredictability of fate.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Oh, you probably don't want to hear about something that far away. Better zoom in on the nearer future.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: A long time after, perhaps this celebration will end, and the Flame-Chase will re-embark. The Chrysos Heirs will defeat those Titans hanging on for dear life, and I will claim the authority of Sky.
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: When that time comes... Mayhaps I'll let Amphoreus experience a few years of snowstorm? How does that sound?
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Hahaha! I'm kidding. Bottom's [sic] up!
Let's stop here for now, cheers!
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Cheers! I like your candor. Remember to drink with me again once you're done!
Cheers!
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Cheers! I like your candor. Remember to drink with me again once you're done!
Beyond Time: An Eternal Page[]
- (First interaction, with Hysilens, Labienus, Verginia, and Apollonius)
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Ha, Labienus, can your stomach still handle it? Looks like I'm gonna win this one.
- "Dux Fragoris" Labienus: Ugh... I just drank too much water. It's all because the honey brew here is too watery!
- Hysilens: In that case, would you like to try the richest honey brew?
- Hysilens: After the black tide receded, I returned to my homeland and dug up all twelve bottles that Phagousa had buried in the seabed.
- Hysilens: Today, have as much Essence of Icy Spring as you wish! Let's drink to our heart's content!
- "Dux Carminum" Verginia: A—As much as I wish? But it's something so precious...
- Hysilens: Back then, Phagousa buried them in the seabed because she wanted to share them with her descendants after the black tide had receded. Aren't they perfect for a celebration now?
- "Dux Helkolithist" Apollonius: Since Dux Gladiorum insists so passionately, we'll humbly accept the offer. Little Verginia, looks like you'll get your chance to shine today.
- Hysilens: Well then, here's to our yesterdays and tomorrows.
Cheers to the Flame-Chase Journey!
To the new world!
To Amphoreus!- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Mmm... W—Wow! That really hit the spot! Phagousa's collection really lives up to its reputation!
- "Dux Carminum" Verginia: Though it tastes a little astringent at first, if you let it sit in your mouth for a moment, you can taste a subtle sweetness... and a hint of sea breeze.
- "Dux Fragoris" Labienus: Hmm, the taste is exquisite indeed. But as loyal subjects, how could we enjoy this by ourselves? Go and invite the Great Imperator.
- Hysilens: I'll join her for drinks later. For now, please enjoy yourselves to the fullest. And remember: We're not leaving until our cups run dry!
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Alright then, today I'll be the last one standing! Who's my next challenger?
- "Dux Helkolithist" Apollonius: Your time to shine, Verginia.
- "Dux Carminum" Verginia: Then I'll... I'll do it!
- Hysilens: Little Gray Fry, care to join me for a drink? Look...
- Hysilens: The Dew of Divine Blood, you should still remember its taste. Though, it's fine if you don't, I can help you recall it.
- Hysilens: Cheers, Little Gray Fry.
Cheers, Hysilens.
- (Subsequent interactions)
Listen- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: This... is... impossible...
- "Dux Carminum" Verginia: Oh, (Mr./
Miss) (Trailblazer), please help Seneca! She was having a drinking contest with me. W—We were drinking honey brew, but she's about to hit the floor after just a few cups!
Just a few cups...
How many cups did you have, exactly?- "Dux Fragoris" Labienus: I was keeping score. A whopping total of 52 cups.
- "Dux Helkolithist" Apollonius: Dux Brumalis, you drink well, but it's unfortunate you ran into a monster like little Verginia. There's no shame in this loss!
- "Dux Brumalis" Seneca: Nonsense... I'm... not done yet... I can still drink on...
- "Dux Fragoris" Labienus: Looks like this victory feast is gonna last for quite a while, haha!
