Peucesta was one of Mydei's comrades in the Kremnoan Detachment. He was a skilled and taciturn musician.
He was the fourth of the five friends to die. He lured enemy soldiers into the city of Aenionus with his melodies and bought the army invaluable time. When their enemies discovered his trick, they set the entire city on fire. Peucesta's last words were engraved on a clay tablet, urging Mydei to take the crown of Castrum Kremnos.[1]
