Perdikkas was one of Mydei's comrades in the Kremnoan Detachment. He was an expert in concocting medicines and delved into many strange folk remedies. Despite his medical prowess, however, Hephaestion said that even Perdikkas would not have been able to cure his illness.
He was the first of the five friends to die, during the second year of Mydei's exile. He was shot in the stomach with a poisoned arrow by the people of Ladon.[1]
