Penya Sergeyevna was a member of the Belobog Scientific Expeditionary Team and the late mother of Pela.

Penya was a famous outdoor explorer. She was kind and thoughtful, as shown when she wrote letters to Pela every day during her pregnancy. She was also hardworking, insisting on staying at the Snow Plains camp despite her pregnant condition.[1]
Appearance[]
Though Penya is not clearly shown in-game, the picture on the floppy disk suggests that she had long, straight hair the same color as Pela's hair.
Story[]
Before Supreme Guardian Cocolia took office, exploration outside of the city was still allowed. The Belobog Scientific Expeditionary Team, belonging to the Silvermane Guards at the time, consisted of a group of curious researchers and explorers who had volunteered to search for a world beyond Belobog. Among these members was the great explorer Penya Sergeyevna.[2]
Penya conceived sixteen years before the start of the game. During this time, Natasha joined the expeditionary team and became their accompanying doctor. Though Penya was pregnant, she insisted on staying at the Snow Plains camp rather than returning to the city. She couldn't go to the front lines, but she was still able to handle administrative duties at camp. Finally, the day of Pela's birth arrived, but there were complications — their team ran into a blizzard and lost contact with the outside world. Though Pela was born healthy, Penya passed away afterwards, as Natasha and the other team members were unable to save her.[2][1]
Before her death, Penya asked a colleague to take her automaton remote control terminal and floppy disk back to Belobog, the contents of which contained a "treasure" for Pela. The disk contained letters written by Penya to her unborn child, from the moment she knew she was pregnant to the day of Pela's birth, never missing a single day. However, the colleague was attacked by Fragmentum creatures on his way back to the city and lost the disk. Sixteen years later, the explorer Lynx found the floppy disk in the Outlying Snow Plains and returned it to its rightful owner.[1]
