Patavia Adler Sommerville was a Mundanite. She was the one that proposed the solitary waves theory during the Scholars' Strife, and was the second ruler of the Scepter system.[1]
Profile[]
Patavia is the one of the most renowned scholars in the Intelligentsia Guild, and her achievements have earned her a separate page in the Candelagraphos' records.[2]
She expresses distaste towards the scholars that fight for Rubert II Scepters, comparing them to a pack of hyenas.[3]
History[]
During her early years, she wasn't affiliated with a particular school.[2]
In her numerous experiments, no matter which laboratory she was relocated at, an unknown signal always appearing every thirteen minutes.[4]
Eventually succeeding in the research review, she was granted a ten-thousandth of the Scepter's computational power.[5] However, it was revoked after Mollett sabotaged her experiments.[6][7]
After that, she — filled with a righteous urge — rallies alongside other scholars at Izmael, proclaiming "return knowledge to knowledge itself!", denouncing the corruption of the Guild. However, the Armed Archaeologists subdued them with numerous Non-lethal Suppression Weapons.[8][9]
In a discussion with a multidimensional research scholar, she finally ascertains the signal's true nature. A wave that permeates in the Imaginary background. Born from an unknown point, and disappears beyond an unfathomable range, which if the experiment is in it, there will always be a mysterious error. This wave was always identical, never decayed, and was unaffected by the distortion of space time.[10]
With this, she concludes that it is solitary wave undisrupted by anything, and finding its source would create a model to answer if the universe is predetermined or not.[10]
Patavia goes on a journey with the ship Rippling Waves, moving through Klostia. During this journey, she comes to a realization that the solitary waves is a Moment extrapolated by Nous.[11]
In the end of her journey, she discovers Rubert's Iron Throne, hidden in Imaginary energy. The star that was hidden was the Scepter system core.[12] As she stands before it, she is filled with an urge for knowledge. She realizes that the Scepters are only imitations of Nous, and do not have the function to ask, and to never question any other being, knowing that Rubert II crowned himself upon the Throne.[13]
She connects her mind to the core, and all Scepters reform into a complete nervous system, ready to serve her as their new ruler, but doesn't crown herself because she thinks she is unworthy. Instead, she peers into the thoughts of Nous, being unable to comprehend THEIR thoughts and being unable to answer. She grabs an iron sheet and notes down what she is learning, and notes down a formula. This formula would become the solitary waves theory.[14]
