Strictly speaking, the name "Parlor Car" is not quite accurate. There are, after all, many cars with windows, and they can also be used to take in the scenery. But considering this car is usually used to receive guests, perhaps the various individuals who board the Express count as the true "scenery" within the car.
The Parlor Car is the main subarea aboard the Astral Express. It is not treated as its own world in Navigation, but is instead accessible from every world's area list.
Completing a Companion Mission for the first time unlocks the Visitor Verification feature. This feature will allow certain characters to visit the Parlor Car from time to time. Completing certain Missions will allow the associated characters related to those missions to be invited to the Parlor Car. They will appear in the Parlor Car from time to time, and can be interacted with during their visit. A maximum of two visitors can be in the Parlor Car at one time.
The scenery visible from the Express windows depends on the world the player teleports to the Express from:

- Female Voice: The Omen Vanguards recently reached out to the IPC and warned about the spread of a certain strain of bacteria.
- Male Voice: Members from the Vanguards have asked the IPC to alert the residents that there are signs of an outbreak of a malignant silicon-eating bacteria in Sigmar-III. The bacteria had previously been seen proliferating in Mollis-II.
- Female Voice: Experts from the Intelligentsia Guild suggest that this type of bacteria can peel off the silicon atoms stored in the vast majority of silicates and silicone compounds via violent biochemical reactions. It will then use these silicon atoms to duplicate itself.
- Male Voice: In this process, the bacteria will generate a membrane that is highly corrosive. When not handled properly, this type of bacteria can pose a serious hazard to health and safety.
