The Coreflame of Time has been returned.
Oronyx is the Titan of time and night. Before the first dawn created by Aquila, the world was caged in the purest darkness. When the borders and day and night were separated, the young Oronyx jolted awake from the newborn concept of time, heading toward the outer reaches of Amphoreus alone. There, they materialized as the Evernight Veil and henceforth remained afar from humanity, quietly spending their time managing the fabric of time.
In the myths told by the Chrysos Heirs, Oronyx is the most secretive Titan, akin to the bottomless darkness itself. Artists are thus entranced by the Titan, because the scintillating dots of light in the night's sky can awaken one's deep desire to understand the unknown. As the Titan with mastery over time, Oronyx supports all the past, present, and future of this world, allowing for the circulation of all things. They also collect many eroded memories to prevent them from being forgotten.
Oronyx's priests can evoke incredible miracles, with their secret rituals capable of bringing in the past to the very present, and they also can gain oracles of the future from their Titan through the echoes across the Evernight Veil.

Oronyx governs the past, present, and future of Amphoreus. They safeguard memories to prevent them from being lost to oblivion.[4]
To have an audience with Oronyx, the person must go through the Abyss of Fate. A phenomena known as "Oronyx's Miracle" is able to create illusions, change reality, and restore certain objects to their past state. This is only effective for a limited time.[4]

Origin Myth[]
In the beginning, there was only chaos, from which "existence" was created, a jumbled mess where fate's threads wrap chaos' nectar, bearing fruit. The primal Coreflame ignites within this fruit. When Oronyx cried, the fruit ripens, and chaos spills out, flooding the cosmos, and as such, time flows.[5]
Unknown Time Period[]
- During the time where Oronyx and Aquila shared authority over the sky, Oronyx utilized gems to absorb Aquila's radiance, intertwining it with the satin of the night and shaping the moon. However, one moon cannot rival the sun, so Oronyx created six moons to rival the brightness of the sun. However, Talanton eliminated four moons, leaving only the red and gold moon.[6]
- Oronyx ordered Mnestia to weave romance across the earth, and hands her a golden spindle.[7]
- When Amphoreus hosted a beauty pageant where several women had to pluck a fruit from the golden apple tree and deliver it to Mnestia intact, a peasant girl instead returned with a new seedling, explaining that she was saddened by the decaying of the golden apple, and planted the seeds from it instead. Georios, moved by the peasant girl's actions, urged Mnestia to crown the peasant girl as the most beautiful, however Mnestia was reluctant, as she was unable to see beauty in the girl. At that moment, Georios called upon Oronyx to cover Mnestia's eyes with the Evernight Veil. When she lost her sight, Mnestia saw the brilliance of the girl's heart and awarded her the title.[8]
Present[]
During the events of Trailblaze Mission chapter Heroic Saga of Flame-Chase, a band of Mydei, Phainon, Trailblazer and Dan Heng failed to kill the Titan Nikador. In response to this, a new party of Phainon, Dan Heng, Trailblazer and Castorice went to obtain an audience with Oronyx to discover what made Nikador unkillable.[9]
On the way to Oronyx's temple in the Janusopolis, Oronyx attempted to shoo the unwelcome guests away, claiming that they brought suffering to the Titans. Ultimately, the group's attempts failed, as Oronyx refused to help the Chrysos Heirs kill the other Titans, even when threatened by Phainon. However, they soon took an interest in the Trailblazer, realizing that they could help them find "Mother," as they had encountered them in the past. Oronyx then looked into the Trailblazer's past, unscrambling a chaotic memory during their time with the Stellaron Hunters. This act resulted in Fuli gazing upon the Trailblazer, which was a precious memory to Oronyx as they had finally caught THEIR gaze. Believing they could help locate THEM, Oronyx ordered Mem to accompany the Trailblazer, as they would help restore the world's memories and find "Mother."[10]
During the events of Trailblaze Mission chapter Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne, Oronyx is slain by the Flame Reaver, leaving their Coreflame behind.[11] The Trailblazer then faces their trial in the Vortex of Genesis, where Oronyx reveals that they "have no future," wherein the Trailblazer and Mem realize that the Trailblazer had died when they arrived on Amphoreus. Oronyx tells the two that the Trailblazer has a chance to be revived and could save the planet, but would have to find their stolen future and cheat death. Oronyx proceeds to entrust their divinity to them before completely fading away.[12]

- Oronyx may derive from the Ancient Greek words όρος óros, meaning "mountain," and νύξ nŭ́x, meaning "night," which is also the name of the primordial Greek goddess of the night, Nyx.
