Speak with Pela in the museum[]
Mission Description
You finished one phase of the museum's operation. You seem to see Pela again in the exhibit hall. Perhaps there are some results from Norbert's interrogation? Go speak with her.
- (Talk to Pela)
- Pela: (Trailblazer), nice to see you. You're looking in good spirits.
- Pela: The museum is packed these days — I've never seen it so full of visitors. You run a tight ship here.
- Pela: Still, it'd be nice if those kids would stop littering... It's barely lunch time and I've already picked up three half-eaten packs of snow-white popping candy.
Is there something you wanted to talk about, Pela?
- Pela: Ah, don't worry, nothing was stolen this time.
- Pela: You remember that Norbert guy we captured? The Silvermane guards [sic] have acquired new intel from him — I thought you might find it interesting.
Kids these days...
- Pela: I know, right? I'll teach them a lesson if I catch them in the act, that's for sure.
- Pela: By the way, you remember that Norbert guy we captured? The Silvermane guards have acquired new intel from him — I thought you might find it interesting.
- Pela: I always wondered — how did he, a rich kid with virtually no real life experience, suddenly think of becoming a smuggler?
- Pela: There's no way someone like him could've come up with the idea of disassembling a sculpture and hiding the pieces inside robots.
- Pela: The result is just as I expected... After less than half a day of interrogation, he confessed everything.
- Pela: He admitted that a mysterious figure named Mr. Cold Feet persuaded him to target the museum exhibits.
- Pela: Mr. Cold Feet fooled Norbert into believing that many of the museum's artifacts were forcibly seized from private collectors by the Silvermane Guards. He told him that true justice would be returning the artifacts to the people...
- Pela: Norbert probably didn't believe any of that nonsense — I think he just wanted to prove himself and add more to his fortune.
- Pela: Mr. Cold Feet not only introduced him to buyers, but also gave him advice, and only charged him a 30% consultant's fee... in the opinion of our young Mr. Norbert, the deal was too good to refuse.
Did you find this Mr. Cold Feet?
- Pela: ...Ahem. That's what I wanted to discuss with you, (Trailblazer).
Sounds lucrative. Why didn't he recruit me...
- Pela: ...Ahem. I'll pretend I didn't hear that.
- Pela: So, (Trailblazer), I came to discuss with you about this Mr. Cold Feet.
- Pela: Norbert said Mr. Cold feet [sic] operates with extreme discretion and knows the Silvermane Guards' every move like the back of his hand. If he catches wind about the slightest rumor in the city, he'll disappear without a trace.
- Pela: If what Mr. Norbert said is true, then our safest option is to send a civilian to try to reach out to Mr. Cold Feet and lure him out of his lair.
You want me to go and meet him?
- Pela: You guessed it! Everyone agrees that there is no better candidate than you.
- Pela: Norbert says he usually communicates with Mr. Cold Feet through the door of a room in the Goethe Hotel. The usual agreed meeting time is... right now.
- Pela: (Trailblazer), take this as a final request from the Silvermane Guards — can you go to the Goethe Hotel to meet with this Mr. Cold Feet?
Head to the Hotel Corridor of the Goethe Hotel[]
Mission Description
The truth is that Norbert was spurred on by a mysterious person with the code name "Mr. Cold Feet."
The true mastermind behind the artifact thefts is still free.
Pela had already pried out of Norbert his rendezvous point with Mr. Cold Feet, which is none other than the Goethe Hotel.
Head to the Goethe Hotel and expose the hidden mastermind.- Messages
PelaNorbert said the secret signal he set with Mr. Cold Feet was three light knocks, then two heavy knocksNow it's all up to your silver tongue, (Trailblazer)You can do it! I believe in you
Confront Mr. Cold Feet through the door[]
Mission Description
The truth is that Norbert was spurred on by a mysterious person with the code name "Mr. Cold Feet." The true mastermind behind the artifact thefts is still free.
You found the room where Mr. Cold Feet is hiding, and only a door stands between you and them.
Remember the secret signal Pela told you and get ready to knock on the door..
- (Knock the door)
- The door remains unperturbed, and you feel a chill breeze brush past your knees... If you stayed any longer in this freezing hallway, you would soon turn into a (Mr./
Miss) Cold Feet yourself. Tap four times and knock once.
- (There is no reaction from behind the door, perhaps you should try again.)
Tap twice and knock three times.
- (There is no reaction from behind the door, perhaps you should try again.)
Tap three times and knock twice.
- ...
- (Trailblazer): (There's no response... did I remember the wrong password?)
- Mr. Cold Feet: Hm? Norbert, is that you?
(In a low voice) yes, it's me.
- Mr. Cold Feet: *sigh* What took you so long?
No, it's a Silvermane Guard.
- Mr. Cold Feet: Haha... Someone write that for you?
- Mr. Cold Feet: *sigh* Anyway, what took you so long?
- Mr. Cold Feet: I was worried the Silvermane Guards might've got to you. But you're not the type to turn someone in at first capture, right?
- Mr. Cold Feet: Well, it's time for me to get on out of here. After all, we already made a nice little fortune on this trip.
How could I ever betray such a dear friend?
- Mr. Cold Feet: Uh-oh, someone's getting a little emotionally overinvested...
- Mr. Cold Feet: You know what we are? Accomplices. You know what that means? Partners in crime! You know what else that means? We're not friends!
Come hell or high water, we shall forge the bonds of brotherly—
- Mr. Cold Feet: Whoa, whoa, whoa — Did you stop at a bar on the way over here? You know what we are? Accomplices. You know what that means? Partners in crime! You know what else what that means? We're not friends!
- Mr. Cold Feet: Alright, enough chinwagging. So, how much did the microfilm sell for?
- (Trailblazer): (Uh-oh. I'm just gonna have to make up an amount. Hope it's believable...)
5000 credits...
- Mr. Cold Feet: Huh? 5000? You're kidding, right?
- Mr. Cold Feet: How could it... Ugh, what kind of hotel is this, anyway? No peepholes on the doors?
50,000 credits.
- Mr. Cold Feet: 50,000? Well... it's a little less than I thought, but not too bad.
- Mr. Cold Feet: By the way, you catch a cold or something? Your voice... sounds a little different than before.
- Mr. Cold Feet: Or maybe you... Ugh, what kind of hotel is this, anyway? No peepholes on the doors?
500,000 credits!
- Mr. Cold Feet: What, 500,000!? No offense kid, but I can't see you haggling that kinda number...
- Mr. Cold Feet: Or maybe you... Ugh, what kind of hotel is this, anyway? No peepholes on the doors?
- (Trailblazer): (He's starting to suspect me... that's not good.)
- (Trailblazer): (I better think through the next question carefully before answering.)
- Mr. Cold Feet: Y'know, I just realized there's something I forgot — maybe you could help me remember.
- Mr. Cold Feet: That Gears and Wisdom sculpture I told you to take apart and hide away... Can you remind me how many pieces it had?
Uhh... a little less than 60.
- Mr. Cold Feet: Now that's more like it! You had me in a cold sweat with those jokes...
- Mr. Cold Feet: Here, hurry up and come inside. We need to discuss the details of our next operation.
- Mr. Cold Feet: You hear a "click." Mr. Cold Feet opens the door.
Gently push open the door and enter.
Uhh... about 40?
- ...
- You obviously answered wrong. Not a peep can be heard from Mr. Cold Feet. Uh-oh....
- Wouldn't it be a shame if you, the hero of the Stellaron crisis, the supreme guardian's respected comrade-in-arms, let the prisoner slip away... just because of a hotel door?
- There is only once choice left in front of you...
Break down the door with a bang!
Uhh... around 20.
- ...

- (Trailblazer): ...
- Sampo: Oh... I mean — oh! If it isn't my valued client, (Trailblazer)!
- Sampo: Wh—What a pleasant surprise to see you again. Isn't it amazing how fate brings people together? Our bridge of friendship could extend all the way to Everwinter Hill!
I guessed it was you from the beginning!
- Sampo: "...Guessed?" So, you don't have any evidence...
It's amazing no one suspected you...
- Sampo: ...Eh-he. Well, I mean.. how could you! Your old buddy Sampo is a model citizen, these days. Y'know the guards on sentry duty in the restricted zone? I deliver their breakfast every day, hehe...
- Sampo: Ahem... So, kinda cold out, huh, (Trailblazer)? Man, this is getting uncomfortable...
- Sampo: Okay, okay, I have a proposal — I'm sure you're gonna find this very reasonable. Yeah, I made a few small fortunes in the artifact business lately... and I can give you a third of my earnings. How about that, huh?
- Sampo: In exchange, I only ask that you please don't tell the Silvermane Guards about me... Just tell them you missed the culprit. You're a big hero — they won't give you a hard time about it, right?
- Sampo: How's that sound? One-third is a lot of money — think about it! I would never dare to rip off a valued client such as yourself!
(Reject) You think I can be bought?
- Sampo: I... I mean.. H—How can you be so unaccommodating? That is not like you, (Trailblazer)!
- Sampo: *sigh* I knew the good times couldn't last, but I didn't think a valued client would bring them to a close... Go ahead, notify the authorities — I'd rather burn out than fade away.
(Accept) Okay, it's a deal.
- Sampo: Hehe, I knew you were a reasonable person.
- Sampo: Here, here, take it! Mr. Cold Feet always keeps his word. It's been a pleasure doing business with you!
- Sampo: Well, I'll be on my way then. I wish you and your friends a happy today, a happy tomorrow, and a happy day after that!
- Reject Sampo's offer.
- Accept Sampo's offer.

- (Trailblazer): (Too late now... I'll have to wait for Pela to get here.)
- Wait in an empty room for a while...
- Pela:: (Trailblazer), I'm here! Where is the suspect?
He escaped from under my nose.
He... vanished into thin air.
- Pela: I see... So he's just as cunning and crafty as ever....
- Pela: He fooled the Silvermane Guards into thinking he'd changed... but we won't be falling for that act again any time soon!
- Pela: This operation ends here, (Trailblazer) — you've helped us enough already. Leave the rest to the Silvermane Guards.
- Pela: Here, these rewards are for you. I hope they come in handy in the journey ahead.
- Pela: Oh, by the way, if you still want to help run the History and Culture Museum, Miss Eris and I are always happy to work with you.
- Pela: Ah, speaking of which, Miss Eris was just looking for you — why don't you go to the museum and talk to her?

- Pela: Hmm... did you touch anything? This room has signs of activity.
There was no-one here when I arrived.
Nope, nothing to do with me.
- Pela: I see... Mr. Cold Feet is a cunning one indeed...
- Pela: He knows how to keep his identity hidden, and his sources are fast and reliable... I guess he found out about Mr. Norbert's arrest and made a run for it.
- Pela: ...Still, Belobog is only so big. Unless he's brave enough to hide out in the Snow Plains, we'll catch him sooner or later.

Go back and speak with Miss Eris to see what surprises she has in store for you.

Ms.) (Trailblazer), hello! Thank you for all your help — business at the museum is booming again! I haven't seen this many people here since I was a little girl! - Eris: Oh, right! There's something I want to tell you: A man with blue hair came along and left this message with me. He asked me to pass this on to the manager of the museum.
- Eris: Here — I haven't read the content. Do you want to take a look?
Read the message.
