Meet up with an old friend at the Administrative District Plaza[]

Mission Description

With curiosity and excitement, you step into Belobog's domain once again.
Perhaps some wondrous adventure would happen this time as well? Who knows...
(Talk to Pela)
Pela: Hey, it's you, (Trailblazer)! I didn't expect to see you here in the Administrative District. How have you been lately?
Pretty good. How about you?
Pela: Great to hear! Since the Stellaron crisis subsided, Belobog's been feeling a little more cheerful. We're really grateful for your assistance...
Pela: ...and yes, things are going well for me too — thanks for asking!
Things could be better.
Pela: Oh... Don't worry, things will get better — I'm sure of it.
Pela: Speaking of things getting better, Belobog's been feeling a little more cheerful since the Stellaron crisis subsided. We couldn't have done it without you.
Pela: You spent so much time in Belobog on your last visit — you must have passed by here before, right?
Pela: This is Belobog's History and Culture Museum — built more than six hundred years ago.
Pela: Last time you visited, it was closed for its ten-year renovation.
Pela: Now that the Stellaron crisis is over, we've been able to allocate more manpower to the renovation works. The museum should be open to the public again soon.
Pela: It's just...
Just what?
You ran into trouble?
Pela: ...We encountered a problem during the renovation process. The Silvermane Guards are doing all they can to figure it out.
Pela: I... *sigh* Sorry, (Trailblazer), I shouldn't talk about it in the open like this. Hey — why don't I give you a tour of the museum? We can talk inside while I show you around...
Pela: ...if you have time, that is.
That sounds nice.
Pela: Great! What are we waiting for?

(Teleports inside the Museum)
Pela: (Trailblazer), welcome to Belobog's History and Culture Museum.
Pela: As you can see, after nearly 100 days of renovation, the interior looks brand new.
Pela: However... there's a problem that needs to be resolved before it can open to the public.
Pela: The museum was established nearly six hundred years ago as a memorial to honor Alisa Rand, the first supreme guardian, and the martyrs who gave their lives in the battle against the invaders from beyond the sky.
Pela: As time went on, new exhibits were continually added to the memorial until it became the museum we see today.

Follow Pela[]

Step Description

Pela mentioned that the Belobog History and Culture Museum, currently being renovated, is facing some problems.
Visit the museum with her to understand the issues at hand.
Pela: Past the Reception Hall, you'll find the General Hall — the museum's largest exhibition room.
Pela: There are all sorts of exhibits on display — paintings by famous artists, samples of the planet's crust... Visitors can experience the essence of Belobog's culture in just a few minutes' time.
Pela: I really hope the museum can open up soon... The children here need a culturally-enriching environment — especially those from the Underworld...
Pela: ...but like I mentioned earlier, we're in a bit of a bind — we could really use a bit of a helping hand.
(Approach the display)
Pela: Here - this is the issue we're trying to deal with.
The exhibit disappeared?
Pela: It was stolen.
There's a thief on the prowl?
Pela: ...Wow, you're quick! Yes, this exhibit was stolen just recently.
So you need help opening this cabinet...
Pela: Wait! What are you doing!?
Pela: *sigh* You're in a museum, remember!? Here, let me explain — this exhibit was recently stolen.
Pela: It was one of the oldest and most precious items in the General Hall collection — the Meteor Fragment.
Pela: It is said that seven hundred years ago, the invaders from beyond the sky descended upon the surface of Jarilo-VI with a meteor shower. The Meteor Fragment is solid evidence that those invaders once tainted our land...
Pela: ...Ahem, sorry, the tour guide in me gets a little carried away — I'm not here to give you a history lesson. Still, it's no exaggeration to say that if the Meteor Fragment isn't recovered, the museum will lose half of its significance.
Do you know who the thief is?
Pela: ...Not yet. That's why this case is such a conundrum for the Silvermane Guards.
Can't we just use a replica?
Pela: ...Out of the question! As the curator of the exhibits here, I would never resort to deceiving the public like that...
Pela: Our first priority is finding the thief and recovering the stolen item, but we don't even have a suspect yet... That's why this case is such a conundrum for the Silvermane Guards.
Pela: Truth be told, the Meteor Fragment isn't the only item that was stolen... but we want the museum to open as soon as possible. We can worry about the other missing items later.
Any leads?
Pela: Of course — I wouldn't ask you to start a whole investigation from scratch.
I think I know who the culprit is.
Pela: Ah, you must be thinking of Sampo, right? I don't think so, our people have been keeping a close eye on him these days. The reports say he's been on his best behavior — not the slightest hint of trouble-making.
Pela: The guards stationed in the Underworld reported that some suspicious characters have been meeting at a hideout in the Great Mine late at night.
Pela: Since the Silvermane Guards are still getting situated in the Underworld and we don't have any direct evidence, we haven't been able to apprehend any suspects.
Pela: But if you were to go there yourself and ask around... I think we could gather a lot of useful intel.
Pela: So, (Trailblazer), would you like to solve this case?
I'd love to.
Pela: Excellent! Just as I expected — short, sweet, and decisive. To the Underworld it is, then.
Let's meet at the Great Mine and go from there...
Pela: ...Sound promising! I'll meet you in the Underworld, then.

Go to the Great Mine and meet up with Pela[]

Step Description

It turns out there has been a series of thefts in the Belobog History and Culture Museum.
To find the lost exhibits, Pela and you decide to head to the Great Mine to investigate the matter.
(Approach Pela)
Pela: The conditions here are so... rudimentary. I wonder how long those people have been living here...
Pela: ...Back to the investigation. We contacted an agent from Wildfire — apparently she has some first-hand intel.
Pela: I think her name was... Swetta? Yes, that's right. Let's go pay her a visit.

Chat with Swetta about the situation[]

Step Description

There has been a series of thefts in the Belobog History and Culture Museum.
To find the lost exhibits, Pela and you decide to head to the Great Mine to investigate the matter.
Miss Swetta from Wildfire seems to know something. Chat with her about the situation.
(Talk to Swetta)
Swetta: Ah! Wh—
Swetta: Oh, it's you... Phew, I thought I'd been discovered. Let's try not to make a commotion — you never know who's listening...
Pela: That bad, huh? How many exhibit thieves are there...?
Swetta: A lot... I don't know if you're aware, miss, but any intel that makes money spreads like wildfire in the Underworld.
Swetta: Travel between the Overworld and the Underworld has been open for some time, but not everyone down here can take advantage of that opportunity. The majority of underworlders have to stay here to feed their families.
Swetta: From what I hear, smuggling museum artifacts is a lucrative enterprise... Tsk, if I wasn't working for Wildfire, I'd be tempted to get in on the cash myself.
Do you know who might be behind the museum thefts?
Swetta: Not for certain, but I've heard some rumors that might be of interest to you.
How much can you make?
Pela: You aren't getting any funny ideas, are you?
Swetta: *sigh* I'll cut to the chase. Wildfire hasn't identified the ringleader yet, but I've heard some interesting rumors that might be helpful to you.
Pela: I'm all ears.
Swetta: Firstly, the group in question has a very public presence — they post recruitment notices all over the street. If you can find a notice, you might be able to glean some clues on it.
Swetta: Secondly, they're rash and careless in their work. They've been seen carrying large crates of illicit goods around the mines and selling them out in the open, without even trying to hide anything from the miners.
Swetta: Thirdly, I heard there are children in the mines that might be involved. I haven't had a chance to look into it, but keep an eye out.
Pela: Hmm... I see. Thanks for the intel, I'm sure it'll help us crack the case.
Pela: Well (Trailblazer), I'm going to head for the settlement and see if I can get more intel from the locals.
Pela: In the meantime, do you think you could head out and look for more clues? We can compare notes when you're done - I'm counting on you!
(Talk to Swetta, optional)
Swetta: Remember the three things I told you...
Swetta: Huh? You're still here? I thought you were off to investigate.
Could you remind what the three pieces of intel were?
Swetta: Oh, you must have missed something. Here's what I've learned so far...
On my way!
Swetta: Good luck! I'm sure you guys can handle this one.
(Talk to Pela, optional)
Pela: Well (Trailblazer), I'm going to head for the settlement and see if I can get more intel from the locals.
Pela: In the meantime, do you think you could head out and look for more clues? We can compare notes when you're done - I'm counting on you!

Find clues based on the information provided by Swetta[]

Step Description

There has been a series of thefts in the Belobog History and Culture Museum.
To find the lost exhibits, Pela and you decide to head to the Great Mine to investigate the matter.
Miss Swetta from Wildfire told you what she knew. Now, go find some appropriate clues around here.
(Approach the Little Girl and Small Boy, idle text)
Little Girl: Daddy bought me a new one...
Small Boy: Hmph. My daddy did too...
Little Girl: I bet your present wasn't as good as mine!
Small Boy: Oh, yeah? Let's see then!
(Listen to Little Girl and Small Boy)
Little Girl: My daddy made a lot of money this month!
Little Girl: He bought me lots of new clothes! Things you can't even find in the Underworld!
Small Boy: Hmph, clothes shmothes! My daddy bought me a super rare present!
Small Boy: He got me a model tram — bet you haven't seen one of those before! That costs way much more than boring clothes.
(Trailblazer): (Sounds like their parents bought them expensive gifts recently...)
(Trailblazer): (If people in the Underworld want to get rich, what options do they have? This is noteworthy...)

(Investigate poster)
You discover a suspicious poster — perhaps it has something to do with the museum theft case?
Recruitment Poster: "Recruiting temporary porters, mechanics, and security. Flexible hours, excellent pay."
Recruitment Poster: "If interested, please get in touch..."
The content after "please get in touch" has been crudely scribbled over. There's more here than meets the eye...
They could've simply ripped the poster down — why spare the effort?
Maybe the organization behind this wanted people to know of their existence without giving too much away to Wildfire or the Guards...
Let's keep looking.

(Approach Robot Guards)
Robot Guard: Beep! Beep!
(Trailblazer): (What are these two doing sneaking around...?)
Robot Guard: Beep! Beep! Alert! Alert! Nosy person spotted! Nosy person spotted!
Robot Guard: Beep! Beep! Protect the goods! Protect the goods!
(Begin battle against Automaton Hound Automaton Hound ×2, Automaton Spider Automaton Spider ×2)
(Investigate the boxes)
(Trailblazer): (Empty...)
(Trailblazer): (These crates were probably used to store stolen items... Someone left robots to guard them.)
(Trailblazer): (Looks like I'm too late. Let's look elsewhere.)

Report back to Pela with the clues you've gathered[]

Step Description

There has been a series of thefts in the Belobog History and Culture Museum.
To find the lost exhibits, Pela and you decide to head to the Great Mine to investigate the matter.
All of Miss Swetta's information was true. You found some circumstantial evidence indicating the thefts had happened here. Report this back to Pela.
(Trailblazer): (The three rumors Swetta talked about all check out. Time to meet back up with Pela.)
(Talk to Pela)
Pela: Oh good, you're back, (Trailblazer)! Did you find out any critical intel?
All three of the rumors Swetta mentioned are true.
Pela: ...I see. Looks like someone is getting the miners involved in the stealing after all.
Pela: I made some progress too. The miners here say they've noticed some people acting strangely recently — a few vagrants who almost never leave the Great Mine have suddenly started making trips to Boulder Town.
Pela: I asked the Silvermane Guards stationed there to go investigate some places of interest. I hope they find something...
Pela: ...Hey, we've got some news!
Silvermane Guard Investigator
(Sir/Madam) (Trailblazer) and Miss Pela! We found the lost Meteor Fragment
Really!? Where is it???
For real?
For real?
This seems too easy...
Too easy.
Silvermane Guard Investigator
It's in a room in the Goethe Grand Hotel
Looks like some forgetful thief left their most important loot here
We've got the area under control. Now we're waiting for you two to come and check the stolen artifact
We'll come immediately. Don't make a big fuss, and don't alert the other guests
Silvermane Guard Investigator
Got it, Miss Pela
(Continue conversation with Pela)
Pela: What a stroke of luck! I didn't expect to get a break in the investigation so quickly!
Pela: Come on, (Trailblazer), let's go to the Goethe Grand Hotel. I hope this isn't some sort of cover-up operation.

Go to the Goethe Grand Hotel to look for the Meteor Fragment[]

Step Description

There has been a series of thefts in the Belobog History and Culture Museum.
To find the lost exhibits, Pela and you decide to head to the Great Mine to investigate the matter.
The Silvermane Guards from the Underworld sent news that they discovered the stolen Meteor Fragment in the Goethe Grand Hotel. Go check it out.
(Approach the Silvermane Guard Investigator, idle text)
Silvermane Guard Investigator: Thank you for your cooperation, madam.
Gertie: Oh, it's nothing.
Silvermane Guard Investigator: Your establishment is, uh... very fancy.
Gertie: Hehe, young people these days sure know how to talk.
(Talk to Silvermane Guard Investigator, optional)
Silvermane Guard Investigator: (Trailblazer), I'm glad to see you here!
Silvermane Guard Investigator: The box containing the Meteor Fragment is in one of the hotel rooms. You and Miss Pela can go investigate the scene when you're ready.

(Enter Goethe Grand Hotel and investigate the briefcase)
Pela: (Trailblazer) This must be the box. Let's open it...
Pela: Let's see...
Pela: The color... the texture... Yup, this is the stolen Meteor Fragment alright — fantastic!
It couldn't be a fake, could it?
Pela: I've done a lot of research into artifact authentication techniques... you can trust my judgement.
Pela: I understand why you're suspicious though. This whole investigation was a little too easy...
This investigation was a little too easy...
Pela: To be honest, I feel the same way.
Looks like an ordinary rock.
Pela: Are you kidding!? The history that this stone carries is of incalculable importance to Belobog.
Pela: Honestly, I didn't think we'd get it back so easily... It almost feels like something's not quite right.
Pela: In any case, now that we have the Meteor Fragment, the museum can now open to the public. That's good news.
Pela: As for tracking down the thief, I'm afraid it'll be a long-term project. When the time comes, we may need your assistance again.
Pela: Let's go, (Trailblazer). We need to take this item back to the museum where it belongs.

Return the Meteor Fragment[]

Step Description

There has been a series of thefts in the Belobog History and Culture Museum.
To find the lost exhibits, Pela and you decide to head to the Great Mine to investigate the matter.
Pela confirmed that the Meteor Fragment you found in the Goethe Grand Hotel is the genuine article that was stolen. It's time to return it to where it came from.
(Enter the museum and return the Meteor Fragment)
Pela: ...Now the General Hall can return to its former glory. Thanks for your help, (Trailblazer).
Pela: The Meteor Fragment... It's so majestic...
Is it worth a lot?
Pela: The value of items housed here can't be measured in money alone... but this little piece of stone could fetch a mountain of cash.
Looks like an ordinary rock.
Pela: Didn't you already say that...?
Pela: *sigh* Forget it, it's thanks to you that we got it back in one piece. If you want to call it a rock, call it a rock.
Pela: The General Hall is ready to open to the public again.
Pela: Oh, by the way... The museum's previous manager resigned recently to pursue his dream of becoming a writer... so, if you're interested, do you think you'd like to take up the post part-time?
Pela: I can promise you it won't be a boring job!
Sounds enticing.
Pela: So that's a yes? Great!
How's the compensation?
Pela: Museum manager — voted among the top three "Most Highly Desired Careers After Graduation!" in a Belobog Academy poll. Needless to say, we offer a competitive package.
Pela: The fact you're asking means you've got your heart set on it already, right? Great!
...They didn't even give me the option to refuse.
Pela: ...Ha? What does that mean?
Pela: Well, you didn't say no, so I'll count that as a yes.
Pela: Now that that's settled, let's go pay a visit to the museum lobby secretary, Eris. She's a talented worker and can tell you everything there is to know about museum matters.
