Nannan is an NPC aboard The Xianzhou Luofu, located in Aurum Alley.

Profile[]

Nannan is a member of the Unshackled, followers of Yaoshi who rescue lifeforms from dangerous situations and release them into the wild. He is a former member of the "Four Benevolent Ones," faction leaders within the Unshackled, and leads the Microscopic Faction, dubbed the "Fooling Around Faction" by the other leaders of the Unshackled, which releases the microorganisms in water into the environment. The other leaders constantly mock and belittle him after having expelled him from the Four Benevolent Ones due to considering him to not take the act of releasing life seriously. However, after the other three leaders of the Unshackled are arrested, his faction takes charge of the Unshackled and develops a positive relationship with the Realm-Keeping Commission through ecologically beneficial activities. He also begins the habit of "releasing" diary entries daily.

Nannan: Since we, the Microscopic Faction, took charge, we have been allocated more resources. We could only release mineral water back then. Now, we have purchased some equipment and started ecological farming with domestic wastewater.

Nannan: Because of that, the Realm-Keeping Commission has become more lenient with us. They've even invited me to join the "Save Water, Save the World" event!

Nannan: Do come back and join our release activities if you are free! That's going to earn you lots of merits. In the long run, we might be able to clear our name as Yaoshi's followers.

What have you released so far?

Nannan: Well... I've released so many things already. I was releasing animals when I first started, but luckily I soon realized it was not a wise choice...

Nannan: I now have a much better understanding of what it means to release things back to nature. As for now... I've stuck to only releasing Scalegorge Spring Water — you know, mineral water — and diary books.

Nannan: They won't disrupt the local ecology, and I can still accumulate virtue and remove karma! A great deed for both yourself and the environment! Praise be to happiness' dedication!

Can mineral water be "released"?

Nannan: Yes, of course. Mineral water is pure and natural, so you can just pour it into the water.

Can diary books be "released"?
