Mourning Actor Masks (unofficial name), simply referred to as masks in-game,[1] are masks worn by the Masked Fools, which they stole from the Mourning Actors.[2]
Overview[]
Each member of the Masked Fools possesses a unique mask bestowed by Aha, which allows them to draw power from the Path of Elation.[3]
Appearance[]
Generally, masks are made of heavy material, vibrant in color, and bear maniacal smiles with surprisingly intricate brushstrokes.[2] The Fool's Mask Curio resembles a red traditional comedy mask. Sparkle's mask is a half-red, half-white kitsune mask with a pink flower design on its forehead.
History[]
Aha found the existence of the Mourning Actors to be a benefit to THEIR pursuit of Elation and so provided the group with THEIR blessings.[4][5] The Masked Fools then began to steal the masks for their own use, and use them as admission tickets to enter The Tavern.[2]
Recently, the Masked Fool Sampo assisted another Fool, Sparkle, in Penacony in order to receive his mask back.[1]
