Dialogue[]
Golden Hour[]
- (First interaction)
- Someone is directing the performance of musicianless instruments onstage.
- When you look over there, you see a pair of hands...
- Well-maintained and adorned with slender knuckles, they flutter and leap, creating waves of black and white.
- Within those waves, joy resides, carried by each stroke that sends golden notes soaring, resounding with beauty.
- These notes guide your ascent, leading you to a grand vista of the magnificent stage.
- The pianist appears serene and content, enveloped by the harmonious music of the instruments.
- Following the trail of golden notes, you ascend to the pinnacle, beholding the night sky and plunging into an ocean, creating thousands of white capped waves.
- Before you know it, the music reaches its conclusion...
- You awaken abruptly, yet the dream of the pianist and his instruments persists.
- (Continue onto dialogue options below)
- (If Max's Emotion is set to Calm)
- ??: Did you enjoy our performance? Did you like his music?
You draw closer to the stage.
- The pianist has surrendered himself, immersed in a torrent of music and ecstasy.
- He hums a few lines when inspiration strikes, transforming his melody into a lively rhythm.
Leave.
- You realize that nothing can break his immersion now.
- (If Max's Emotion is set to Angry)
- ??: Shoo! Shoo! Don't disrupt us!
Leave.
- (If Max's Emotion is set to Happy)
- The beat intensifies, and the atmosphere grows heated.
Leave.
- (If Max's Emotion is set to Sad)
- ??: Are you concerned about Maestro Max... out of curiosity?
Leave.
Clockwork[]
Activate Clockwork
- Calm
- A gentle voice suddenly addresses you. As you look around, you realize that it comes from the piano in front of you.
- Piano: I'm glad that my dear master... he's happy now.
- Piano: I've been accompanying him since he was a child. We are like family.
- Piano: Throughout the years, wherever he goes, he takes me along... Even in his dreams, he doesn't leave me behind.
- Piano: It's a shame that such a kind boy was abandoned by those whom he considered his "best friends"...
- Piano: I'm glad that he's willing to come to this dream city and find companions in the automated orchestra.
- Piano: You see, we love him, and everyone loves him... My dear master will never feel lonely or miserable again.
- Angry
- A low, irritable growl emerges by your ears, giving you a scare.
- ??: You're too close! Stay away! Don't interfere with our performance!
- Seeing you still standing there, the young man on the side, more specifically, the "drum," raises his idle drumstick and gives you a not-so-gentle tap on the arm.
- Drum Kit: Hey, I'm talking to you! Are all humans so numb? Well, except Max, of course.
- Drum Kit: Wait... You... You're not planning to take Max away, are you? Don't even think about it!
- Drum Kit: I'm warning you! We are his *most important* companions, and we will always be!
- Drum Kit: The *automated orchestra* can fulfill his every need! Don't ever try to take him away!
- Happy
- The crowd gathers, filling the space. Even the air carries a buoyant spirit.
- Once again, you witness the golden notes, now more dynamic and vibrant than ever.
- Each beat quickens your heart, coursing through your veins.
- What are you waiting for? Cast away your worries and immerse yourself in this musical carnival!
- (Unlock Achievement No Man's Symphony)
- Sad
- A sophisticated gentleman spoke nonchalantly.
- Cello: I apologize for assuming your thoughts, but according to *Mrs. Piano*, it seems that Maestro Max isn't quite the same in reality as he is *now*.
- Cello: If you have met him before, then I understand your curiosity very well... as I share the same *curiosity* about him.
- Cello: In my opinion, although it may not be entirely appropriate... Maestro Max and we are simply natural partners.
- Cello: Musicians tend to be overly expressive in their music, which isn't necessarily a negative trait, but it can be overwhelming for us automated instruments.
- Cello: However, Maestro Max... He maintains a sense of innocent purity throughout his self-expression, which puts us at *ease*.
- Cello: His "old friends" failed to recognize his talent, and I feel genuinely sorry about that.
- Cello: Nonetheless, we will step in and become Maestro Max's most loyal companions.
- Calm
The Reverie (Dreamscape)[]
- (First interaction)
- Serene, the pianist sits on velvet cushion, his countenance remaining tranquil as still water. A faint smile adorns his face as he gazes into the distance.
- Perhaps the whimsical scene evokes his memories of joyous moments shared with friends? Or perhaps he simply harbors a deep fondness for these amusing monsters, immersing himself in the cozy ambience of the lounge?
- Only music know the answer.
(Chat)
- Without speaking much, the pianist gives you a gentle gesture.
I want to know what you think about this lounge.
- His soft words are accompanied by a melody. Before you realize it, the piano materializes beside Max.
- Piano: We love this place. My dear master hasn't been so happy in quite some time.
- Piano: While the Dreamscape has granted us life, it hasn't granted us any social status or freedom. People view us as mere automated machines, devoid of souls, conveniently replaceable when damaged, and unworthy of emotional attachment.
- Piano: Apathy will not bear favorable outcome, only deepening our loneliness and pain.
- Piano: Therefore, I appreciate the lounge owner's approach. Respect and companionship are always the best way of expressing love.
I want to know what you think about monsters.
- A low voice, amidst the sharp beat of a drum, suddenly resonates in your ears.
- Drum Kit: Those imbeciles! They're spineless worms who don't even have the guts to fight back against the mistreatment they endure!
- Drum Kit: Humans don't deserve any trust — except for Max, of course. But those fools just remain blind to this fact until the very day they are abandoned.
- Drum Kit: But now they seem to be happy, so let's hope the life here will last long.
I want to know what you think about me.
- Out of nowhere, you hear the voice of a gentleman. His tone is restrained and polite, soothing and melodious like string music.
- Double Bass: You possess a benevolent soul, just as Maestro Max does. I can discern it from the way you speak.
- Double Bass: However, Maestro Max already has trusted companions, as we have promised to create music within the Dreamscape for the remainder of our existence.
- Double Bass: If you approach Maestro Max out of mere sympathy or curiosity, I implore you to set aside such sentiments, as they would be perceived as offensive to a pure musician.
- (Obtain
Classic SoulGlad ×1)
- (Subsequent interactions)
- You attempt to engage in conversation with the customer before you, but they seem immersed in the leisurely ambiance of the lounge, oblivious to your presence.
