Extinguish Ten Thousand Stars[1]
Luxbane, also known as The Sun Devourer, is a Lord Ravager of the Antimatter Legion and an Emanator of Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction.[1]
Description[]
Luxbane's form is indescribable — a shape so vast it eclipses suns, blotting out sky and space alike. Some in the Astral Ecology School believe they are a descendant of a Leviathan branch species. But with those creatures long gone, few can imagine a young Aeon reviving such an old being from death and commanding them.
Could Luxbane be Nanook's Emanator to confront the Voracity or the Permanence? No one knows for sure.Profile[]
According to the List of Archenemies, Luxbane appears to be associated with stellar destruction; not by directly attacking planets, but targeting their stars. Their purpose remains unknown, and the Astral Ecology School speculates that they may be a descendant of a branch of the Leviathans. It is believed that Luxbane might oppose either the Voracity or Permanence.[1][2]
Appearance[]
Luxbane appears to manifest as a black, cloud-like entity, large enough to envelop entire planets, with a single eye that glows with a purplish light.
History[]
According to the reports from the Intelligentsia Guild, Luxbane is responsible for extinguishing one-third of the stars in the Yvanna Chain over the course of nearly 300 years. How this was accomplished remains unknown, but the Cloud Knights from the Xianzhou Yaoqing reported the presence of an unidentified flocculent material that filled many of the empty spaces in the chain and absorbed the light of its stars. The planets orbiting these stars were deprived of their light and left in total darkness, after which they would later be attacked and destroyed by the Antimatter Legion.[2][3]
The destruction of the Yvanna Chain is remembered as "one of the most appalling sins committed by the Antimatter Legion," and the survivors nicknamed Luxbane, who was responsible for this event, as "The Sun Devourer."[2][3]
