Leviathans are mysterious, ancient lifeforms which roamed the galaxy before the Aeons were born.[1]
Description[]
Leviathans fed on cosmic dust and nebulae. Before they disappeared in the Dusk Wars, the Shattered Star Bait could be used as a lure for them.[2] They were highly powerful and mobile.[3]
Some cultures worship Leviathans rather than Aeons.[4]
History[]
The history of the Leviathans is shrouded in mystery largely due to Mythus the Enigmata's destruction of historical records[1] and the intervention of the Interastral Peace Corporation.[5] Prior to the rise of the Aeons, the Dusk Wars took place, described as a "catastrophic disaster" and likely wiped out most of the Leviathans.[2] The IPC claims that the Dusk Wars ended with the ascension of Qlipoth. However, many archeological discoveries have since proven that Leviathans were still active in the early days after THEY ascended, challenging this claim.[5]
The Leviathan's Conception Theory states that some elder Leviathans were run aground after the Dusk Wars. During their lengthy slumber, their decomposed cells became the seedbed for organic organisms, and their dissipating life force became wandering Astral Spirits. However, more and more scholars have begun to publicly denounce the Leviathan's Conception Theory in recent years.[6]
Leviathan corpses have been used by the Antimatter Legion as materials for creating Voidranger: Tramplers and Doomsday Beasts in the Warforge.[3][7]
In the Simulated Universe, Stephen Lloyd once tried to use Shattered Star Bait to attract Leviathans, but instead ended up attracting a large number of Trotters.[8]
During the Luminary Wardance Ceremony, Himeko and Welt opted to stay behind to help Herta deliver some Leviathan fossils from Calenga Abyss to Ruan Mei.[9]
