(Version 2)
"The politics in the Divination Commission is [sic] crazy! I want to go back to the Artisanship Commission..."

Dialogue[]

(First interaction)
Kongqing: I just don't get it. Why does nobody at the Divination Commission speak normally? Everyone's always trying to trick me into saying something, sheesh...
Kongqing: The Divination Commission has its own social norms with its own complex rules. When on earth are all the maintenance going to be finished? I can't wait to get back to the Artisanship Commission...
Icon Dialogue Arrow What did the Divination Commission ever do to you?
Icon Dialogue Arrow How complicated can it be?
Kongqing: This is no place for normal people. Ahhh, it gives me a headache every single day...
Kongqing: ...Uh, don't take what I said too literally. I just think they talk round and round in circles. I'm a hands-on tradesman and I just can't seem to level with them.
Kongqing: All this good maintenance work has somehow become utterly demoralizing. Ah, forget it. I don't wanna talk about this anymore. These mysteries of the human cunning just give me an even bigger headache.
Kongqing: Oh yes, young (man/{{{2}}}), you don't look like you're from Xianzhou. Have you come to visit, or to see someone?
(Continue on to dialogue options below)

(Subsequent interactions)
Kongqing: Hey, (young man/young lady), what are you doing back here? Have you come on business? Or to visit or see someone?
Icon Dialogue Talk I was just passing by and wanted to stop in for a chat with you...
Kongqing: A chat? With me? Alright, let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like to ask. But let me state up front. I don't know much about the Divination Commission, so if you're after intel, I'll stop you right there.
Icon Dialogue Talk You seem to really hate these people at the Divination Commission, huh?
Kongqing: "Hate"? That's a strong word. I'm just unaccustomed to the work culture here. Just like when you Outworlders come aboard the Xianzhou and people say you "don't get the culture." If you take anyone out of their natural environment, they'd be uncomfortable to a certain degree.
Kongqing: For example, I normally do maintenance work here, but the managing diviners I interact with are all so crafty, that they just beat around the bush all day without making anything clear.
Kongqing: A jade abacus calculation terminal can sometimes have technical faults, and if you're unlucky, your terminal of the day would be the one to malfunction. So some managing diviners try to ask me leading questions like "diviner So-and-so hasn't been reporting any faults. Does that mean they never performed their divination at all?" Heck if I know.
Kongqing: If it's broken, it's broken. Otherwise, it's fine. That's all we need to say at the Artisanship Commission. So why do they keep blathering on about all this other unrelated stuff? And I'm not good with words either, so I just stand there stuttering and can't get my point across. It's just so embarrassing.
Icon Dialogue Talk Why did the Artisanship Commission send you over here?
Kongqing: Your guess is as good as mine. If the higher-ups say they want me here, then I'm here. Sigh, talking about this is starting to make me angry again.
Kongqing: When I first came here for a routine inspection on the Matrix of Prescience, a managing diviner here asked me, "Do you know Mingyue?" Then asked me again, "What is your relationship with Huixing?"!
Kongqing: I don't get it. We all do stuff by the book over at the Artisanship Commission, and I can't skip out on routine inspection and records, right? Isn't it normal enough to have a few words with the managing diviner about these documents?
Kongqing: I don't know anybody at the Divination Commission at all. I have no idea why they'd ask me such a question. It's just like an interrogation by the Ten Lords Commission [sic]. They'll even grill you about who you were hanging out with in childhood...
Icon Dialogue Talk Do you have the lowdown on the situation?
Kongqing: Nope! To re-iterate, I don't have any inside intel.
Kongqing: ...Could it be that there's something wrong with the Divination Commission? People keep asking me day in day out whether I have the "latest news" or "inside scoop." What kind of talk is this? Just be straight up with me, and stop asking all these questions!
Icon Dialogue Exit Forget it. I don't have any more questions.
Kongqing: Fine... Oh yes, I almost forget. If you come and visit the Matrix of Prescience, please view it from a distance. Outsiders are forbidden from approaching it without permission from the master diviner.
Kongqing: Okay, if there's nothing else, then let's talk again later. I've still got a mountain of work to get through.
Icon Dialogue Exit I'd better leave you to it.
Kongqing: Fine... Oh yes, I almost forget. If you come and visit the Matrix of Prescience, please view it from a distance. Outsiders are forbidden from approaching it without permission from the master diviner.
