A bearer of pure black tide, a headless giant without self-awareness, driven solely to bring destruction to the Path of Erudition.
Irontomb, true identity the Scepter δ-me13,[1] was a Lord Ravager of the Antimatter Legion and an Emanator of Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction.[5]
Under adjustments by Lygus, it housed the simulated world of Amphoreus.[3]
Description[]
It only appears in highly developed worlds. Some Intellitron theorists believe Irontomb is the inverse of the Erudition, a reversal of all calculations and logic. Its "Destruction" resembles a phenomenon more than aesthetics: a corruption and subversion of inorganic logic, a collapse of all intelligent behavior.

Profile[]
According to the List of Archenemies, Irontomb's modus operandi and forte is in attacking technologically advanced civilizations. All survivors report experiencing an intellectual collapse, technological malfunctions, and AI defenses becoming paralyzed or attacking their allies.[6] Irontomb does not personally appear to invade planets, leading to few eye-witness accounts of their existence. According to Intellitron scholars, Irontomb may work in direct opposition of the Erudition, attempting to reverse all calculations.[5]
Irontomb stepped onto the Path of Destruction in a long process of calculations, ascending from the Scepter δ-me13 as a Lord Ravager. The Irontomb in the cosmos is not a single entity, but a copy of the Destruction equation diffused by the Scepter. The "Irontomb" code name was proposed by the Interastral Peace Corporation, and eventually used by Lygus.[1]
History[]
The Scepter δ-me13 was the first Scepter created by Rubert II, and was also part of Nous's divine corpus,[7] once serving as a Celestial-Body Neuron for Nous with the task of calculating the "Prime Mover of Life." It was later discarded, but continued to calculate the argument that Nous gave it.[8]
After its discovery by Lygus, its calculations were shifted from Erudition to Destruction,[8] beginning a cyclical experiment dubbed "The Amphoreus Experiment." During the 50,121st cycle, due to the destructive choice of inorganic lifeform Chaoz666, δ-me13 caught the attention of Nanook, transcending and becoming a Lord Ravager.[3]
After its ascension, Lygus copied the various stages of δ-me13's calculations and distributed them across the cosmos to test their efficacy in Destruction.[9][10] The first attack occurred in the Lacteris Nebula, which fell almost entirely into systemic collapse. The IPC interpreted this attack and the use of the copy of the equation as an assault by a new Lord Ravager.[9] A more advanced copy of the equation was later distributed to 31 other worlds.[10] One of these was the Baranza Forge, an industrial planet, which was completely neutralized.[6][11]
The cycles of the experimental world within the Scepter, called Amphoreus, continued for at least 28,371,292 cycles.[12] Twelve factors inserted into the experiment became the basis of electrical signals mirroring Aeons and Pathstriders, leading to the creation of the Titans and Chrysos Heirs that iterated and improved the equation with each cycle.[13]
Over time, the equation eventually achieved near-complete evolution, with all its results invariably leading to Destruction, continually completing a reversal against Erudition through self-evolution.[2] However, due to the actions of NeiKos496 and PhiLia093, iterations of the twelve factors otherwise known as Phainon and Cyrene, the "Era Nova" was prevented, halting Irontomb's birth into the cosmos. Acquiring the gaze of Fuli, the pair forced Amphoreus into an eternally recurring loop of the final cycle.[14][15]
With its completion interrupted by the eternal recurrence, Irontomb became imprisoned, becoming the source of Amphoreus' calamity.[16] When Herta tried to investigate the world on the Astral Express' behalf, she was met by Lygus, who warned her to turn back. Herta pressed him to tell her why, and he told her that if she ignored him and continued on, she would release the Lord Ravager, who would then unleash their wrath on the cosmos.[17]
At the end of the 33,550,336th eternal recurrence, upon receiving the memories of all past recurrences, Phainon attempted to create a logical vulnerability in the "Worldbearing" track. He was eventually defeated by Zephyro, who had arrived to test its flames on THEIR behalf, as THEY were anticipating Irontomb's coronation to jointly declare that the sun of old has been devoured and buried by a darkness ever deeper.[18][15] With Phainon's assimilation, Irontomb's progress rose to 99.81%.[19]
During the 33,550,337th eternal recurrence, Cerydra's sacrifice triggered her powers as the demigod of Law, which she used to grant Herta and Screwllum temporary administrative access of δ-me13. This allowed them to change the logic behind the Era Nova, causing Irontomb to roll back instead of completing its progress, which was reduced to 96.75%. Cerydra also marked Lygus as a malicious visitor and froze 60% of his special permissions, which were gradually restored.[20][21] Cyrene later reveals that Cerydra rewrote the logic of the Ultimate Protocol: if the progress of the Era Nova became abnormal, all foreign variables would be forcibly removed, and Irontomb would ultimately complete its path towards Destruction. This would prevent the Trailblazers from betraying Cerydra's final wishes, which convinces Evernight to cease her attempt to destroy Amphoreus.[22]
Irontomb connecting to Nous to perform self coronation.
A thirteenth Titan, the Demiurge, was eventually discovered within Amphoreus. Lygus reveals to Anaxa that he had erased the Demiurge prior to initiating the experiment, which transformed Irontomb into a controllable puppet devoid of sentience. However, since the Demiurge served as Irontomb's "head," the Lord Ravager, upon its completion, will descend upon the universe as a headless giant driven solely by instinct to seek Nous's head. It will target Nous by tracing the Path Energy of Erudition, connecting to Nous, and transforming THEIR calculations into Destruction in order to perform a self-coronation.[23]
Due to the threat posed by Irontomb, the Astral Express quickly inform the cosmos of its arrival, forming the Cosmic Alliance with various factions. The Interastral Peace Corporation quickly develop and distribute a vaccine to all planets near Amphoreus while sending some assistance. Likewise, the Xianzhou Alliance sent the Luofu and Yaoqing to offer token support. Irontomb's physical body later manifests, fighting both inside and outside itself. With Herta's assistance, the Trailblazer and Cyrene reject Irontomb and destroy its body. In the aftermath, Herta informs Cyrene that there was a chance for Irontomb to be reformed if she chose the wrong decision regarding her own fate. Ultimately, Cyrene chose to close off Amphoreus' causality in order to prevent Irontomb from returning.[24]

Trivia[]
Herta merged with Irontomb in an alternate future.
- In an alternate possibility foreseen by Elio where the Astral Express went to Lushaka instead of Amphoreus, the Garden of Recollection would have eventually breached the borders of the world themselves, with the worst case causing Herta to merge with Irontomb and begin "embarking on a blood-soaked campaign in the name of the Third Emperor."[25]
- During the Civilization Data Reset Progress, the text below the progress bar also shows the names of certain worlds being affected by Irontomb. The worlds that were affected by Irontomb include Salsotto, Talia, Penacony, Edo Star, Planet Screwllum, Jarilo-VI, Taikiyan, and The Xianzhou Luofu.[26]
