A timeline of historical events within or involving the Interastral Peace Corporation and its many departments and staff.
History[]
Founding[]
? AE — The Interastral Peace Corporation originated as a support team to assist Qlipoth in building their Celestial Comet Wall. They attempted to travel to different worlds to gather supplies as an offering to the Amber Lord. Since they only collected construction materials, however, the support team could only offer construction materials to trade.[1]
1357~ AE — Louis Fleming began trading for construction materials by offering other resources, such as fruit, for a certain marked-up price. This allowed the support team to realize that they needed to acquire and supply goods that are desirable to trade partners. And thus, Dongfang Qixing decided that to be the only trade business in the cosmos, they must set their own rules.[1]
1387~ AE — Louis Fleming and Dongfang Qixing announced the reformation of the support team and started the IPC. At the same moment, the IPC introduced the universal galactic currency: credits. They assigned a price tag to the specialties of every planet, which locals now purchased directly from the IPC using its credits.[1]
Borderstar Trade War and First Mechanical War[]
Following the Swarm Disaster, the IPC underwent a reorganization as internal forces actively sought new paths of development.[2]
- Three figures rose to power within the IPC, being Telora Farnsha of the Public Relations Division, Korapao of the Cargo Division and De Wayne from the Technology Division. Telora Farnsha was called the Godmother and had the support of the four major Guardians. Korapao has the support of the Associates, and De Wayne was in charge of decryption.[3] However, De Wayne held no match against Farnsha and Korapao's influence.[4]
- The Candelagraphos made a deduction that the Sanguine Condolences was a declaration of war by a faction against the IPC, but was later overruled as Cyprogo was under De Wayne's supervision.[5]
- The executive director of IPC has terminated the collaboration with the Garden of Recollection after the last discussion with Korapao, and the Memory Bubble technology that Telora Farnsha vouched for was forced to give way to the Synesthesia Beacon. Nevertheless, Telora Farnsha was soon promoted to P-48, and her forces formed the Trade Division, while she and Korapao held the monopoly of many galaxies, sparking the Borderstar Trade War.[2] Before this, anti-war proposals were sent to the IPC.[6]
- De Wayne of the Technology Division saw the opportunity to colonize inorganic worlds and established an armed organization, eventually making a fortune to stand up against Farnsha and Korapao.[4][7]
- Korapao hired Professor Cressitra from the Intelligentsia Guild to create a synthetic Anti-Organic Equation, but a promise was made to never use it.[9]
- Professor Cressitra from built a long-distance vesself for Korapao to keep himself safe during the war, but after an act of betrayal against Cressitra, they blew up the vessel, resulting in a Spice Ordeal happening in Temptra underneath Farnsha's authority. Korapao was to sever ties with Farnsha's faction and lose support in the Emperor's War.[9]
- Korapao breaks their promise and injects the Equation into his army and lets them enjoy the benefits of inorganic lifeforms.[9]
- De Wayne reaches the peak of Broadened Cognition, but the Enigmata interferes and traps De Wayne into a scenario where he keeps reaching for the woman on top, but fails and fails, which felt as long as the universe's existence.[4]
- Once the Borderstar Trade War ends, The Guardians utilize Temptra's Psychological Manipulation skill to affect the Outreach and Engagement Division. It is then revealed that De Wayne lost his mind, and Korapao died by hanging himself after being deserted.[10]
- It was later revealed that Polka Kakamond of the Genius Society was supported by Dongfang Qixing.[6]
Recent History[]
2022 SC — The IPC became allies with the Xianzhou Alliance[11]
? AE — The IPC acquired Penacony and designated it as a prison planet, ordering all inmates to salvage the overflowing Memory Bubbles for the Garden of Recollection.[12]
? AE — A Stellaron Disaster appears in Penacony, leading the IPC to weaken its hold on Penacony.
2147~ AE — Seizing this chance, Hanunue sparks the War of the Frontier in Penacony, overturning the IPC and giving freedom to the prison.[13]
? AE — The star system Zaum, near an IPC logistic trade route, was blessed by a prophet who brought knowledge far ahead of its time, allowing them to create cutting-edge technology to negotiate with the IPC. The IPC, refusing to let a star system in their logistics chain horse-trade, turns the people of Zaum against each other. At the same time, a gray tide started spreading like a plague, and two political parties blamed each other for using supernatural weapons. The tide was caused by human folly, and chaotic memoria appeared after the prophet was assassinated. To quell the memoria, a missile was fired at it, but the people gradually forgot its original purpose and began fighting each other. After two Amber Eras, Zaum only existed as a geographical concept.
2151~ AE — The organization alongside the Intelligentsia Guild began appearing on Jarilo-VI.[14] When the Antimatter Legion targeted the planet for invasion, the IPC fled, but not before giving an immense amount of funds for the Architects to build a wall surrounding Belobog and advanced automatons to use, giving them 280 years to repay the debt. The Architects ended up not using the provided automatons, as they did not know how to operate them and instead created replicas based on the blueprints left behind. In the end, the Supreme Guardian at the time, Alisa Rand, used the Stellaron to stop the Antimatter Legion via the Eternal Freeze. The payment was canceled 100 years after signing, as Jarilo-VI lost contact with the rest of the universe, making the IPC believe that the planet's civilization was destroyed.[15]
One of the IPC's executives, Oswaldo Schneider, would take control of the Marketing Development Department after parting ways with The Nameless. On the planet Sigonia-IV, there had been an issue plaguing the corporation for multiple Amber Eras, which Oswaldo successfully resolved. However, the clans subsequently excluded the Avgins and Katicans due to their hostilities. The Katicans later plotted to kill the Avgins during the Kakava, an important Avgin festival. Despite Oswaldo's assurances that he would protect them when they asked for assistance, he failed to honor his agreement, leading to many Avgins being killed or labelled as missing; despite this stain, the operation was still considered a success.[16] This led to Aventurine seemingly becoming the only Avgin remaining. Through numerous risks and sheer luck, Aventurine would soon find himself as a member of the Ten Stonehearts.
- Oswaldo would later lead an operation on Aeragan-Epharshel. Facing both time constraints and resistance from the locals, he incentivized his crew with the promise of reward for the first person to acquire the resource, while also permitting the use of military force against the population to "bring civilization to this world."[17] The operation is implied to have killed many inhabitants in an "unknown disaster," leaving only frail youth and elderly living in prohibitively small shelters. To this day, that black ore is still used in massive quantities as a rare metal to create devastating weaponry, and is shipped out to more and more planets on fleets of IPC transport ships. The Galaxy Ranger Boothill, a survivor of Aeragan-Epharshel, would subsequently seek vengeance on Oswaldo for his crimes.[17]
8072~ SC — The IPC hired Anwen to infiltrate an evidence room in order to steal secrets regarding human experimentation performed by the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus. She was apprehended by the Cloud Knights at the Exalting Sanctum. The case was considered by the Luofu to be of utmost sensitivity, and anyone handling the case was ordered to deny all spy trade requests from the corporation.[18]
Topaz's world, a small, obscure planet in the galaxy, produced heavy and chemical goods for other planets for trade. The massive amount of production resulted in its environment becoming contaminated with pollutants, and the people who were unable to leave resigned themselves to their fate. The IPC eventually came upon the world and restored the environment within a span of five years.[19] Out of gratitude to the corporation, Topaz joined with a "lifelong" contract, soon working her way to the Ten Stonehearts with her impressive work ethics.[20]
2156 AE — Due to the threat of the Stellarons along with the Antimatter Legion and Annihilation Gang causing havoc in the galaxy, the Technology Department sends Dudley to recruit Genius Society member #79 Chadwick and other researchers to create the Imaginary Implosion Pulse. Chadwick and the others eventually realize that they were manipulated, as the weapon was being used to protect the IPC's trade routes, which were about to be attacked by the Legion. The weapon is activated, stopping the attacks, but also destroying 24 other planets, including 3 with a civilization of grade 0 or higher. While the IPC issued a statement condemning the tragedy and conducted an internal review, removing the higher-ups who ordered the detonation, they wanted to monopolize it. Aware of their intentions, Chadwick spoke to Screwllum and acquired the Selective Blocking Agent, preventing him from learning about imaginary applications. The IPC eventually decided to wait for the death of his physical body, where they immediately sealed his memoria in a Memory Bubble when he died with the Garden of Recollection, which was placed in the Dreamscape to sustain it.[21]
Current Activity[]
At some point after the Stellaron was sealed and removed from Jarilo-VI, the IPC became aware that a civilization still existed on the planet and sent Topaz to collect the debt owed hundreds of years ago. Topaz also decided to annex the planet for the IPC, seeing similarities between it and her home world. Aventurine was against the idea, believing the planet to be not worth the time. Ultimately, after seeing the Engine of Creation and the peoples' resolve to rebuild themselves, Topaz has a change of heart and convinces the IPC to leave the world alone after some vouching from the Astral Express. The IPC relents, though as punishment, Topaz gets demoted and loses many of her bonuses. Topaz still left behind a group of IPC personnel on the planet[19] to help out with various events, such as the Aetherium Wars.
After Herta, Ruan Mei, Screwllum and Stephen Lloyd create the Swarm Disaster expansion, the IPC began to take an interest in their work, prompting them to create the Gold and Gears expansion, taking place before The First Emperor's war. As the Borderstar Trade War also took place around that time period, Pearl made an agreement with Herta to purchase any data related to the IPC from her.[22]
At this point, Diamond decides to handle the situation on the planet and their "debt," assigning Aventurine for the task as he felt that there was still a chance for a peaceful resolution.[23] Aventurine concocts a plan to "die" in order to send him past Penacony's dreamscape in order to uncover the secrets hidden by the Family; while someone else had also seen the truth and lived, they could not reveal it. His plan relies on the Trailblazer to confront him; without their intervention, the plan would fail and be exposed. This prompts Topaz and Jade to begin "harvesting" upon seeing his cornerstone fade.[24]
Aventurine eventually returns from beyond the dreamscape with the assistance of a Knight of Beauty, after which Jade contacts and congratulates him for discovering the truth of Dreamflux Reef and that the recording that the Trailblazer gave him was now the most valuable chip in the game. However, he lost his cornerstone in the process, which had shattered to protect him from Nihility's taint in the Primordial Dreamscape. This was considered too high by Diamond, who had called Jade to discuss what they would do with him. Jade and Topaz would make their way to Pier Point for the "final" showdown in preparation to "reap" the rewards, while a large fleet made their way to the Asdana system after Welt exposes the Family's secrets and contacts the IPC with Aventurine's Token. After the call ended, Boothill burst into the room, demanding that he tell him where Oswaldo was. Aventurine later complained of having nightmares which he suspected was a result of Nihility's taint, resulting in the IPC hiring a Doctor of Chaos to treat him.[25]
With Sunday's plot foiled, the Family's most prominent member was now Oti Alfalfa and his Alfalfa Family. Jade and Topaz would enter negotiations with him, where he revealed that he wanted to make Penacony independent and open to all shareholders and warned the IPC from taking action against the planet. The two Stonehearts briefly left before Jade returned alone, where she warned him to drop his ambitions as the IPC could simply crush Penacony with the vast resources at their disposal. However, she told him that if he dropped his plans, she would ensure that the IPC would help the Family's interests. The IPC would offer to help rebuild the planet for 30% of their shares, which Oti ultimately agreed to after hearing Jade's answers to his questions. Jade then had Topaz bring Himeko in, where the Astral Express would have 5% of the IPC's shares on the planet in honor of the Nameless' sacrifice and contributions. Jade would have Topaz handle the remaining negotiations, confident she could do it without her help.[26]
Following the Penacony operation, Diamond ordered a vote with the Ten Stonehearts (barring Aventurine) to determine what should be done with him due to the loss of his Cornerstone. Obsidian (who also represented Agate), Sugilite and Sapphire voted in favor of punishing him, while Topaz, Jade, Amber and Pearl voted to forgive him. Opal ended up being the decisive tiebreaker, and he also voted in favor, as Diamond had also recommended it due to knowing that they would need all of their efforts to help the Amber Lord in the upcoming war to come. With the votes in favor, Aventurine's cornerstone was restored.[27]
After the Penacony operation, an IPC ship was busy transporting several Howling Caskets built by the Intelligentsia Guild when it was attacked by borisin pirates on the Xianzhou Luofu during the Wardance ceremony. At the same time, Topaz was sent as the corporation's representative. Due to the borisin threat, the ceremony was temporarily postponed, though Skott and his subordinates were questioned over the cargo.[28] Once the situation was resolved, the ceremony began in earnest, where Topaz and her team would participate in the martial contests but ultimately be eliminated by Luka. Since Topaz wanted to help the people of Jarilo-VI, she offered to sponsor Luka, though he declined out of caution. Despite this, those jealous of his talents began to slander him, led by Shuojin. Topaz, learning of his slander towards Luka, met with him in private and offered to increase his fame and market a new product under the pretense of a rematch against Luka. Luka defeated Shuojin a second time, exposing Shoujin's hypocrisy and Topaz was able to market a new product, resulting in a win-win situation for both sides. Boothill also partook in the ceremony, prompting the IPC to demand the Luofu to arrest him, but they refused. Boothill left sometime after forfeiting to Yanqing before the IPC could get to him.
