The Honkai: Star Rail Wiki has a set of guidelines in uploading image files. These guidelines have been last updated on January 18th, 2025.
File Template
All images should use the {{File}} template unless a more specific template exists for its category. Refer to the template's documentation for proper syntax.
File Types
PNG is preferred.
- It is better to convert JPG images to PNG to keep file extensions consistent. Take note that JPG is a lossy format, where as PNG is lossless. It is better to seek out a file that does not have lost detail than to use a file with detail lost.
Naming Conventions
Most images should be prefixed with a keyword (and space) that describes what type of image it is. Below is the current list of prefixes with examples.
File names must be descriptive. For example, File:1234567890.png is not a descriptive image name, but File:Character Seele Splash Art.png is.
