TALE OF THE VIDYADHARA
Long ago, there was a people known as the Vidyadhara.
Legends have it that they were the descendants of Long, the Permanence. From their inception, they studied secret arts and bore signs of Long's Legacy while also cycling into rebirth after death.
Today's story begins with the incubation of this Vidyadhara egg.
Every Vidyadhara arises from an egg and grows with the passing of time.
The egg we speak of today is different from most others, however, as it bears the power of the high elder and might someday become the next Imbibitor Lunae on the Luofu.
Regarded as heaven-chosen from birth, people hoped he could lead his kin to escape from the plight of their cyclicality and embark on a new path.
This generation's Imbibitor Lunae was a nigh-peerless warrior and also a healer by way of the cloudhymn. As the chosen one, his endowments were beyond limit, and he could change the course of tides without the aid or machines nor mechanisms. But fate found a divergent path, and so a hero of the Xianzhou fell to become its transgressor.
At present, the Dan Heng that stands before the Trailblazer is one that has undergone a molting rebirth and been cleansed of sin by the waters of the ancient sea.
The high elder of yesterday is long faded down the rivers of the past...
