Beginning[]

In 2149 AE, the IPC built the Herta Space Station as a gift for Herta, while also serving as an investment.[1][2] It was originally built as a warehouse for rare items and relics, but Herta allowed her followers to do tasks and conduct research, which gradually transformed it into a research base.[3]

At some point in time, Herta made a deal with the Garden of Recollection to be able to possess Light Cones and store them in the space station.[3]

Significant Hires[]

Hosea Lazaro was hired as a researcher for the Department of Galactic Geopolitics. He created the recipe for Kapo-Kali, which was once the signature drink of the space station. After having enough with the workplace, he blew up a giant hole in the maintenance room in an incident that became known as the "Station Breakout."[4]

Herta appointed Asta as the Lead Researcher of the space station.[5] Afterwards, Arlan was appointed head of the Security Department.[6]

Simulated Universe[]

Herta's curiosity about the Aeons led her to collaborate with fellow Genius Society members Screwllum, Ruan Mei, and Stephen Lloyd to create the Simulated Universe, which would be hosted in the space station.[2]

Present[]

Antimatter Legion's Invasion[]

In 2157 AE,[7] Silver Wolf attracts the Antimatter Legion to the space station to distract the Astral Express crew so she and Kafka can invade the vault where the space station's Stellaron is held.[8] At the same time, the security system also fails.[9] This leads to the deaths of several researchers, including Eikura Shuu.[2]

Upon obtaining the Stellaron, Kafka places it inside the Trailblazer and wipes their memories, and the two Stellaron Hunters immediately leave.[8] While this is happening, Arlan blocks the access to the elevator to prevent the Legion from getting in the Master Control Zone, but is struck down from behind by the Legion.[10]

Dan Heng and March 7th find the Trailblazer where Kafka left them in the Storage Zone. On their way to evacuate to the master control zone, they save Arlan, and together, they make it past through the wave of enemies and return safely.[9] Shortly afterwards, a Doomsday Beast appears and, during the ensuing battle, triggers the Stellaron inside the Trailblazer. This draws the attention of Nanook, and the Trailblazer receives THEIR gaze before the Stellaron is sealed by Welt.[2]

After the chaos from the Legion's invasion subsided, Screwllum visited the space station to have a meeting with Herta. This was done to bait Silver Wolf into entering the Simulated Universe. As a result, all of Silver Wolf's Interastral Network accounts were frozen.[11]

Ruan Mei's Experiments[]

The Seclusion Zone used to be where Herta welcomed either visitors from afar or Genius Society members, before being inaccessible to the public due to the Legion's invasion. Currently, Ruan Mei is operating in it, creating new lifeforms and researching biology.[12]

After failing to permanently revive Lambda, Ruan Mei turned to a different Emanator: Skaracabaz.[13] While unsuccessful in bringing out the true strength of the Emanator, due to the experiment, a number of True Stings have been released in the Seclusion Zone. Ruan Mei sent the Trailblazer to deal with Skaracabaz, who delayed its rampage for 56 seconds before it self-destructed.[12]

Duke Inferno's Invasion[]

At a similar point in time, the IPC sent Dr. Ratio as a delegate because the Technology Department wanted to collaborate with Herta. Duke Inferno, using a part of the Phase Flame, caused chaos in the space station by first kidnapping one of Herta's puppets, then moving on to capturing researchers. However, this invasion was foiled with the joint effort of Dr. Ratio, Asta, Screwllum, and the Trailblazer.[14]

While they were dealing with Duke Inferno, the Security Department found the missing researchers, who had fallen into a spatial Curio and were trapped until Adler from the Department of Ecology solved it. Dr. Ratio later revealed that he had previously saved them by intervening with Duke Inferno's teleportation, which sent them into the Curio instead of outer space.[14]

Closure[]

Sometime after the Stellaron incident on Penacony, Himeko informed Herta that they were going to Amphoreus. The planet, which was virtually unheard of outside of a select few, caught Herta's attention. After Sunday joined the Astral Express as a passenger, Himeko tried to contact Herta again but failed to do so. The others believed that they were under attack, but in actuality, Herta ordered the station shut and abandoned for reasons unknown as she talked to Nous about divinity.
