Helioticus was a bard from Amphoreus. His voice was blessed by Mnestia and he wandered across the land, recording the story of the Flame-Chase journey and the Chrysos Heirs. On his final expedition, his voice was "corroded by the seawater," and that process also took one of his eyes.[1] After that point, his voice was hoarse.[2]
Helioticus once had an encounter with a Caprist scholar.[3] He was once criticized for his support of the Flame-Chase, specifically for singing the praises of heroes who had not actually returned.[4] He had a friend named Phies, a sculptor who made statues of Helioticus and the other members of Helioticus's final expedition.[2]
