Guangyuan was a Foxian fighter pilot who was killed during the Third Abundance War.[1]

Guangyuan was an exceptionally skilled pilot in the Sky-Faring Commission. At some point, he met Caiyi, and the two fell in love and got married. The couple often manned the same starskiff and their combined prowess was the envy of many, though Guangyuan could never match Yukong's ability. He was described by Yukong to have an "annoyingly handsome face." He was always kind to Yukong no matter how rude she acted towards him.[1]
During the Third Abundance War, Guangyuan conceived a child with Caiyi. The names he came up for their future child were "Dragon" if it was a boy, and "Phoenix" if it was a girl. Both Caiyi and Yukong disliked those names, with Caiyi writing in her exchange diary that Guangyuan's literary sense was practically nonexistent. Caiyi chose to name their child Qingni instead, on Yukong's suggestion.[1]
Guangyuan eventually died in battle. He displayed great courage and resolve in his last moments, as he and his flight partner were able to hold off several borisin ships before finally getting overwhelmed.[1]
