Furiae Archer is a mission-exclusive NPC on Amphoreus. She can be encountered during Adventure Mission I Once Was In Arcadia.
Profile[]
Furiae Archer was an unnamed Titankin of Nikador who, true to the ideals of Nikador and Strife, preferred a 'valorous death before a glorious return.' However, her perspective changed after she met Paris, an Okheman, and fell in love with him despite his repeated, clumsy attempts to win her over. She was ostracized by the Okhemans, who feared her, and was eventually betrayed by Paris after he was seduced by Oenone, a member of the Council of Elders.
History[]
The Furiae Archer was a Titankin of Nikador and served in Castrum Kremnos' army. She returned to Castrum Kremnos after losing a battle, which was seen as dishonorable by the people of the city-state. A citizen named Ephor ordered her imprisonment, and she was subsequently locked up by her fellow kin to be used as a sacrifice to Nikador. However, she was able to avoid sacrifice and wandered across Amphoreous for an unknown amount of time.
Following Nikador's demise, the Furiae Archer, along with two other Titankin, went to Okhema, where she asked for Paris in front of Iason. Believing they were up to no good, the Trailblazer fought the Titankin; the archer was badly wounded and ran away, but not before cursing them. After being informed that it held potential treasure, the Trailblazer and Mem discovered it at Castrum Kremnos' ruins, where she continued to ask for Paris and Arcadia. These two mentions caused the Trailblazer and Mem to return to Okhema to get some information about the two, since Mem noted that her words were genuine.
By the time they returned to the Titankin, she had collapsed on the ground, but continued to mention Paris. They entered her memory, where they learned about her failure in battle. The Trailblazer enters the prison, where Paris intends to escape, but the archer accepts her punishment. The Trailblazer proceeds to slander Nikador, causing her to alert the guards, but she is knocked unconscious by Paris. Paris carries her out of the cell, where they are confronted by the alerted Titankin. The Trailblazer defeats them, while Paris ran to Okhema with her in tow.[Note 1] He convinces the guards to accept her as a refugee and the Trailblazer repairs her wounds. She shows little interest in Okheman society until she meets Aglaea and some Titankin of Mnestia, the Romance Titan.
Over time, she is accepted by the Okhemans and is later invited by Paris to a party, where he asks her to dance with him. While she accepts, she accidentally shatters a valuable artefact, but the Trailblazer quickly fixes it. However, she leaves the scene, upset with Philoc's words and wanting some time alone. Paris eventually convinces her to live in Okheman society, and she takes up various hobbies to pass the time as her strife slowly fades.
Eventually, Nikador's crazed Titankin invade Okhema, and Paris is drafted to defend the city. Fearful of his safety, the archer believes that the two should fight on the front lines, while Paris musters up the courage to propose to her. When they meet again, they reveal their intentions; Paris wishes to run away with her, while she wanted to fight alongside him. Ultimately, she agrees to Paris' plan to run away from the city, but she chooses to help defend the city while he makes his preparations. They tie a golden thread between them to ensure their trust. Shortly afterwards however, Paris runs into crazed Titankin confronting Philoc and Oenone, and he mistakenly assumes one of the archers to be her. Philoc curses the two in his dying breath, while Paris' other lover, Oenone, seduces him to abandon the archer by stating that she had betrayed them. He ends up agreeing to her reasoning.
During the siege, the archer kills her fellow crazed kin, ensuring her arrows do not harm the Okhemans. In the aftermath of battle, she is mistaken as an enemy and locked out of the city and later realizes that the golden thread connecting her to Paris was severed. With her lover abandoning her and being shunned by society, the archer gives in to her strife and begins hunting all in her path. Eventually, she meets Paris and kills him with her arrows, collecting the thread from him.
With the memory viewing complete, the archer asks for Paris and Arcadia before passing away. Her remains soon crumble to dust and are scattered across the fallen city-state, while Mem promises to ensure her memory would not be forgotten.[1]

Notes[]
- ↑ Due to the Trailblazer directly interacting with Furiae Archer's memories, many aspects of what truly happened are unclear. It's possible Trailblazer served as a stand-in for other unnamed characters.
