One of the many residential delves on the Xianzhou Luofu. People live here peacefully for centuries at a time. Does it really provide personal exaltation as its name suggests?
"People often hold the belief that a document produced by a photocopier faithfully replicates its original, and they tend to trust that a story narrated by a parrot reflects truth." — Hellerdon, ██ Historian
The Realm-Keeping Commission's branch office at the Exalting Sanctum. Employees' responsibilities include emergency response and searching for lost pets.
(Advertisement outside of Ruoyue's shop, standard dialogue)
An advertisement for the Looking Bronze divination shop. Rumor has it, the owner Ruoyue was fired from the Divination Commission and was forced to take over the family business.
"Custom clearance. Please cooperate with the Palace of Astrum for the entry inspection and other related procedures."
It is a poster designed to remind incoming passengers to cooperate with customs clearance.
It is a poster with the logo of the Sky-Faring Commission. It is obvious who is its issuer.
The sentence on the poster is written in a courteous tone. In normal circumstances, there shouldn't be anyone resisting the inspection.
Flower-Shaped Chandelier
(Standard dialogue)
Flower-Shaped Chandelier
This flower, which is an unexpected product from a starskiff seed research conducted in the Yaoqing, is selling like hotcakes in the cosmos. They have earned a handsome amount of foreign currencies for the alliance. The life of a flower can be full of surprises.
It might have an appearance of a lamp, but it is actually a flower. Its glow has nothing to do with electricity, the effects of annihilation, or other complicated Xianzhou technologies. Instead, it is the combination of water, sunlight, and a splash of love that does the magic.
The plant of the flower bears fruits once every thousand years or so. The fruit is delicious, sugar-free, and fat-free, making it well-loved by gym-goers.
The Intelligentsia Guild believes that the flower is very likely to have different moods. It is because the brightness of its glow will change for no reason. After all, no one wants to glow when they are in a foul mood.
Scroll
(Scrolls outside of Yinshu's shop, standard dialogue)
Scroll
It is an ordinary scroll without any record of the past or the future. You do not have to pay any price for reading it — you won't go blind, lose your mind, or be killed.
You open the scroll and find Xianzhou words written in artistic style inside. It is likely to be a work of calligraphy, as the Xianzhou citizens often call it, but it is in digital form.
You won't learn any magic or improve any of your skills by staring at the scroll. Just give up.
It looks like a scroll, but it is actually a flexible display that can float in the air. It is popular among the Xianzhou citizens.
Calm Poetry Reading Woman: Nobody has ever seen any Judges of the Ten-Lords Commission...
Listen
Fanatical Novel Fan: Listen to this ad! "I wander into another world and pick up an emergency food. The moment I put it into my mouth, it says 'I can grant you three wishes...'."
Calm Poetry Reading Woman: Hmm, interesting... Go on.
Fanatical Novel Fan: "A talentless youth who is sick of being bullied happened upon a splendid jade bracelet with miraculous properties. Everyone bowed down in worship..."
Fanatical Novel Fan: "When I was wandering through strange lands, I chanced upon this cracked pot, which contains lands of countless residences. Watch as I beat the system to become a property tycoon..."
Fanatical Novel Fan: Which book should I start with?
Calm Poetry Reading Woman: Do these last two books have any hint of fantasy in them? The instruments on Xianzhou can already do all that...
Fanatical Novel Fan: That's why those last two are tagged under the Documentary genre.
(Approach the two Foxians, idle text)
▶Foxian Man: This is the stuff of true literature!
Foxian Man: The future of literature belongs online...
Foxian Woman: Web articles are too long, and they've all got two hundred years of backstory...
Foxian Woman: The future of literature...
Foxian Woman: Must be confined to 140 characters or fewer!
(Approach the stall near Yinshu's shop, idle text)
▶Vidyadhara Man: I came specifically to see Ambrosial Arbor.
Vidyadhara Man: Is it really growing again?
Xianzhou Woman: Yes. Would I lie to you?
(Approach the Xianzhou Citizen and Outworlder, idle text)
▶Worried Xianzhou Citizen: This tree has been withered for thousands of years...
Worried Xianzhou Citizen: But now it's actually growing again...
Curious Outworlder: Are the rumors and legends about it all true?
Worried Xianzhou Citizen: Maybe. You know how the legend goes...
Worried Xianzhou Citizen: An endless lifespan comes from the fruits of the Ambrosial Arbor.
Curious Outworlder: Then can we live forever too?
Worried Xianzhou Citizen: Only Outworlders like yourself think like that.
Listen
Worried Xianzhou Citizen: This tree has withered for thousands of years... Back when my ancestors first settled in the Exalting Sanctum, it was already half a stump.
Worried Xianzhou Citizen: But now that it's actually growing again, it's difficult to say whether it's a good or a bad thing.
Curious Outworlder: Are the rumors and legends about it all true?
Worried Xianzhou Citizen: Possibly, I mean that's what the legends say... The Xianzhou native's endless lifespan comes from the fruits of the Ambrosial Arbor. If it weren't for this legend, you Outworlders would never bother coming here.
Curious Outworlder: For me, it's just business... But now, us Outworlders can also become immortal?
Worried Xianzhou Citizen: The first of the Ten Unpardonable Sins of Xianzhou is Involuntary Immortalization. If you have any thought about attaining it, I'd advise you to give up any hopes before it's too late.
(Approach the two children, idle text)
▶Foxian Child: The Ambrosial Arbor... It's massive...
Vidyadhara Child: Massive...
Foxian Child: I wanna climb up and see the view.
Vidyadhara Child: Are you just bragging?
Foxian Child: I'm the best climber there is!
(Approach the woman and child, idle text)
Emotional Woman: Can you see it? That tree over there...
Emotional Woman: This is covered in the book, right?
Child Watching the Shop: I don't read. Don't ask me.
Emotional Woman: This must be the work of the Plagues Author!
Listen
Emotional Woman: Can you see it? That tree... It's growing!
Emotional Woman: Based on records from "the Reignbow Anecdotes," more than four thousand years ago, when the Denizens of Abundance rallied to attack the Luofu — it was for precisely this tree!
Emotional Woman: I never knew all that stuff from the books was true!
Child Watching the Shop: I don't read. Don't ask me.
Emotional Woman: The resurrection of the Ambrosial Arbor heralds great misfortune! This must be the work of the Plagues Author!
