Eikura Shuu (Japanese: 栄倉終) was an NPC aboard the Herta Space Station. He can initially be found in the Master Control Zone, left of the Central Passage Space Anchor, but permanently disappears upon completion of the Trailblaze Mission A Moment of Peace in the Chapter Today Is Yesterday's Tomorrow.
His memorial will later appear in the Storage Zone.
Profile[]
Eikura Shuu was born to two spice farmers on the planet Xin-41. After arriving at Herta Space Station, he realized that the rulers of his planet, the Slinkans, were no better than the natural inhabitants of the planets. On one of the letters he sent to his family, he revealed this truth to his parents. Unfortunately, one of these letters influenced a young boy named Milo and caused his death. Since then, his parents have stopped sharing his letters to their neighbors to avoid another "warning" from the Slinkans.[1]
During Shuu's stay at the space station, he became disillusioned with society. His diary shows his disdain towards the methods of scoring the researchers, which degrades their humanity and self-worth. He initially studied the Wubbaboos,[2] but his research fell through and he was transferred to maintain and repair the anti-gravity ionizing grid, which is the space station's first line of defense. During the invasion of the Antimatter Legion, he leaves to investigate the status of the grid, despite sustaining injuries which ultimately lead to his death.
After his death, Wubbaboos collected his possessions to create a memorial for the once Wubbaboo researcher and caretaker.[3]

Dialogue[]
- (First interaction, during Trailblaze Mission A Moment of Peace)
- Eikura Shuu: Why did those monsters have to breach the ionizing grid on my watch...
- Eikura Shuu: It can't be my fault, I'd never make a mistake like this... I'm going out there to check the data again!
You're injured.
- Eikura Shuu: Injured? I don't care, see anyone else that cares? Who are you anyway, get out of my way.
It's dangerous outside.
- Eikura Shuu: Dangerous? Of course it's dangerous, I just came back from the front line, I know that better than you.
Don't be a hero.
- Eikura Shuu: Hero? Don't overthink it. I'm not doing this for others, I'm doing it for myself.
- Eikura Shuu: The space station shield's first line of defense is the anti-gravity ionizing grid. I'm the researcher in charge of it. Do you expect me to just sit here after something like this?
It's not your fault.
- Eikura Shuu: I agree. But when the investigation's over, the blame will fall entirely on my shoulders.
It's over now.
- Eikura Shuu: That may be the case, but it's better than just hiding here doing nothing.
Please, just stay here.
- Eikura Shuu: Hmph... it's easy for you to say! This didn't happen on your watch, you wouldn't understand!
- Eikura Shuu: Besides, that bunch of troublemakers is still out there... I know you mean well, but I've made up my mind.
- (Eikura Shuu leaves)
