Effect RES is one of the stats in Honkai: Star Rail, used by both characters and enemies. It decreases the probability of an attack inflicting a debuff on a target, alongside Debuff RES.
Different enemies have varying amounts of Base Effect RES. Additionally, enemies' Effect RES will increase by 0.4% per level from Level 51 to Level 75, up to 10%.
Level 120 enemies in Anomaly Arbitration have 10% additionally increased Effect RES.
The lower the HP, the less DMG received. When HP is 20% or lower, the DMG Reduction reaches its maximum effect, reducing up to 20%—44%. During the Complete Combustion, the DMG Reduction remains at its maximum effect, and the Effect RES increases by 10%—34%. If Energy is lower than 50% when the battle starts, regenerates Energy to 50%. Once Energy is regenerated to its maximum, dispels all debuffsDebuffDebuffs are negative status effects that render units weaker. Unless otherwise specified, debuffs can be dispelled. on this unit.
For any single ally with Fortified Wager, their Effect RES increases by 25%—55%, and when they get attacked, Aventurine gains 1 point of Blind Bet. When Aventurine has Fortified Wager, he can resist Crowd Control debuffsCrowd Control debuffFreeze, Entanglement, Imprisonment, Dominated, Outrage, Strong Reverberation, Alien Dream, Snarelock, Terrified.. This effect can trigger again after 2 turn(s). Aventurine additionally gains 1 point(s) of Blind Bet after getting attacked. Upon reaching 7 points of Blind Bet, Aventurine consumes the 7 points to launch a 7-hit Follow-up ATKFollow-up ATKUnleashes an extra attack on the target. This effect is triggered automatically when requirements are met., with each hit dealing Imaginary DMG equal to 12.5%—27.5% of Aventurine's DEF to a single random enemy. Blind Bet is capped at 10 points.

While in the Epiphany state, enemy targets have their Effect RES reduced by 10% and Black Swan regenerates 8 Energy at the start of these targets' turns or when they are defeated. This Energy Regeneration effect can only trigger up to 1 time while Epiphany lasts. The trigger count is reset when Epiphany is applied again.

Relic Sets[]
Toggle Set Bonuses 1Relic Sets increases Effect RES of characters:
Insight Increases the wearer's Effect RES by 12~20%. For every 100 of DEF the wearer has, increases the wearer's DMG dealt by 0.8~1.2%, up to a maximum DMG increase of 32~48%.
Refraction of Sightline Increases the wearer's Effect RES by 16~32% and increases Outgoing Healing by an amount that is equal to 33~45% of Effect RES. Outgoing Healing can be increased this way by up to 15~27%.
Treasure Increases the wearer's Effect RES by 8~16%. If the wearer is attacked and has no Shield, they gain a Shield equal to 16~32% of their Max HP for 2 turn(s). This effect can only be triggered once every 3 turn(s). If the wearer has a Shield when attacked, the DMG they receive decreases by 12~24%.
