Ditings (Chinese: 谛听) are mission-exclusive NPCs aboard the Xianzhou Luofu.

Profile

A Diting is a type of Ingenium dog created by the Artisanship Commission. They are highly intelligent: some of them able to communicate with people, analyze the entire archives of the Artisanship Commission and customize their own staff profile picture, and even play video games like Aetherium Wars.

Ditings have all five senses of the foxian race and "takes them to another level." They are mainly used as forensic equipment by the Realm-Keeping Commission via the Locality Probe feature. Tingyun borrows one to help assist with the Luofu's manhunt for Kafka, Yanqing uses one to track Blade and record the footage, and the Trailblazer borrows one to track the Faunus Red Sheep released by the Unshackled.

Ditings are also heavily associated with Guinaifen. Her splash art features multiple Ditings, and her Ultimate,  Watch This Showstopper Watch This Showstopper, summons them to ignite firecrackers. Both her phone case and avatar on Ghostly Grove also feature a Diting.

During Saga of Primaveral Blade, Ditings are used to train the Strength of March 7th (The Hunt) via standing on her arms. When she uses her Ultimate,  March 7th, the Apex Heroine March 7th, the Apex Heroine, Ditings appear in her flashback of the training.

Etymology

• 谛听 Dìtīng is a divine mythical creature and the steed of bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha in Chinese Buddhism. 谛 Dì means "carefully," and 听 Tīng means "to listen."
