Dewei is a Cloud Knight who volunteered to be transferred to Scalegorge Waterscape, to honor his son who lost his life in the same area.

Dewei: ...If it isn't the mighty (Trailblazer) who rounded up the rebels with the Cloud Knights! I've long heard of your reputation. After being transferred to Scalegorge Waterscape, I wondered if I'd get the chance to meet you. And well, here we are!

Dewei: It's a shame that it's a bad time. I'm on duty right now. Just look at all these people going about their business peacefully. Who knows how many dark undercurrents still ripple beneath Scalegorge Waterscape, hidden just under the calm surface.

Are there still remnants of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus nearby?

Dewei: Yes. There're still a few Disciples of Sanctus Medicus lurking around here. So long as the Arbor and its legend exist, the Disciples will never truly be eradicated. I'm stationed here to give the few people remaining here a sense of security.

Dewei: You have a fantastic memory, (sir/ma'am). That's right. I volunteered for this Scalegorge Waterscape assignment. My son... He lost his life in combat against the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus.

Dewei: I couldn't sleep for many nights when I heard the news. I wanted to do something for him. He... He was still so young, and was just gifted a weapon of the Cloud Knights after he'd completed the ritual of his First Hunt.

Dewei: A few days back, I got a letter from the military affairs office asking me to undergo a test to check if I have any signs of mara. But even if I do, so what? I'm determined to keep on standing here to the bitter end.
