Afterward, heroes imbued with great power began to walk the earth. They carried in their veins golden divine blood and were known as the "Chrysos Heirs."
The Chrysos Heirs are a group of individuals imbued with great power that rose up after the Titans of Amphoreus fell. Fused with "golden ichor" — literally manifesting as golden blood — some of these individuals, according to the Prophecy of Genesis from the Worldbearing Titan, Kephale, are tasked with plucking the Coreflames from the Titans and upholding the world, also called as a "Flame-Chase."[6][7]
Overview[]
While there are only twelve Coreflames, there exist more than twelve Chrysos Heirs "not mentioned in the prophecy."[8] A Chrysos Heir that conquers a Coreflame's Trial will inherit its respective Titan's divinity and become a demigod,[7] however only a chosen few possess the capacity to assume divinity.[9]
It is later revealed that the Titans and Chrysos Heirs are actually electrical signals created from the basis of the "twelve factors," conjugate constructs mirroring the Aeons and Pathstriders. The twelve factors, a core variable created by Lygus and inserted into The Amphoreus Experiment, are simplified models of life's Primum Mobile.[10] By having Chrysos Heirs inherit the Titans' Coreflames, the electrical signals iterated and improved through rivalry and inheritance.[11]
Additionally, the golden blood of the Chrysos Heirs is the product of the first experimental phase of The Amphoreus Experiment. During the 50,121st cycle, due to the destructive choice of inorganic lifeform Chaoz666, the Scepter δ-me13, later referred to as Irontomb, was selected to become a Lord Ravager by Nanook. All entities linked to the twelve factors began to manifest Nanook's golden blood, with traits associated with Destruction within their extrapolation circuits. As a result, the experiment successfully entered its projected trajectory.[4]

An Eternal Page[]
In the final cycle of Amphoreus, the Chrysos Heirs of the 33,550,337th eternal recurrence became the new cycle's Titans. After the events of Trailblaze Mission Fallen Petals, Leave Fading Traces of Fragrance, they, along with the Titans of the previous cycle, are present within An Eternal Page.
In An Eternal Page, several Chrysos Heirs who were previously recorded with specific flaws no longer possess them. In addition, Castorice lost her authority over Death, while Aglaea lost her authority of Romance.[63][64][65]

Primum Mobile and Path Simulation[]
Shown in the experiment logs of Scepter δ-me13, the twelve factors, and in turn the Chrysos Heirs, each have a coded "Primum Mobile" as well as a specified Path they simulate.[11][66] It is unknown whether the Path association is consistent across every cycle pre-eternal recurrence, but the logs note these Paths and experiment parameters they're associated with in particular:
| Icon | Name | Electronic Signal[66] | Primum Mobile[66] | Simulated Path[66] |

Trivia[]
- The term "Flame-Chase" (Chinese: 逐火 zhúhuǒ) is a reference to the Honkai Impact 3rd faction, the Flame-Chasers (Chinese: 逐火十三英桀 "Thirteen Heroes of the Flame-Chase") from the organization MOTH (Chinese: 逐火之蛾).
- The Chrysos Heirs have golden blood known as ichor. In Greek mythology, ichor is the blood of the gods.
- In Honkai Impact 3rd, the Flame-Chasers are genetically altered super humans known as MANTISes. The procedure to become a MANTIS involves injecting them with a gene construct known as ICHOR.
- The significant curses of some Chrysos Heirs are likely inspired by the classical Greek concept of hamartia, which refers to a protagonist's fatal flaw that results in their inevitable downfall.
Etymology[]
- "Chrysos" originates from the Ancient Greek term χρυσός khrūsós, meaning "gold."
