Dialogue[]

(First interaction)
Caldwick: Nice to meet you, Captain. You'll find that none of the lifeforms here are perfect, myself included. Nevertheless, every flight is an opportunity to grow. With you leading us, I'm sure we'll only keep improving and getting better. I'm honored to be your first mate.
Newly Recruited Crew Member: May you and your companions find self-worth and a place to belong to in future flights, Captain.
Icon Dialogue Arrow Caldwick, is this the person you just recruited?
Caldwick: Yes, after a strict screening process, I recruited him from the kitchen of a restaurant. Although he doesn't have the required experience, he's a gifted one. I am certain he will soon become an indispensable member of our team.
Icon Dialogue Arrow You say such nice things...
Newly Recruited Crew Member: Thank you for the compliment! I am grateful for all the training you've given me!
Caldwick: While the professional experience and abilities of the newly recruited crew members don't seem to meet the hiring criteria, it is my belief that every living thing has their own unique potential and value. These things can't be measured through traditional means.
Caldwick: Looking at the current situation of the aircraft staff, what we lack isn't skilled attendants, but enthusiastic crew members who cherish the opportunities they are given.
Icon Dialogue Arrow What do you mean when you say they don't seem to meet the hiring criteria?
Caldwick: It means that their professional experience and abilities don't match — or may even contradict — past requirements for recruiting crew members of the Radiant Feldspar.
Icon Dialogue Arrow That sounds kind of deep...
Caldwick: To have insight into worldly affairs is to be truly learned. I only know the basics of management and am nowhere near having a deep understanding of it.
You want to keep discussing the art of talent management with Caldwick, but just as you are about to speak, you notice that...
The newly recruited crew member from before has quietly left the conversation at some point, leaving you two to chat in private.
You are astonished by their tact. Did they think of this themselves, or was it the result of Caldwick's mentorship?
Caldwick: Captain, you expression tells me that you have a question. Ask away, I'm more than happy to answer it.

(Subsequent interactions)
Caldwick: Nice to meet you, Captain. You'll find that none of the lifeforms here are perfect, myself included.
Caldwick: I'm still refining the training program for the new crew members. But once I see this through and after everyone gets the chance to know one another better, our team will be much better equipped to grow and strive for more.
Caldwick: Of course, if there's anything else that you'd like to know, I'm more than happy to satisfy your curiosity.
Icon Dialogue Talk There's something I want to know...
Caldwick: Please, ask away.
Icon Dialogue Talk Tell me about your management philosophy.
Caldwick: The management strategy I've adopted involves customizing a personalized development plan based on the characteristics of each individual.
Caldwick: I've had deep conversations with every one of the crew members to learn their interests, strengths, and dreams. I use this information to create jobs that suit them to a T.
Caldwick: I do find this process time-consuming, but all the preparation will only help the task go more smoothly. If we can get our crew members to maximize their potential, the quality of service we render will follow with a parallel increase.
Icon Dialogue Talk You're pretty nice to your crew, huh?
Caldwick: Give them adequate freedom and ample understanding unlocks their highest potential. Micromanaging them, on the other hand, will only end up sullying the captain's reputation.
Caldwick: We used to have a crew member back in the airship's kitchen. He was always sneaking bites of food, something the former captain constantly criticized him for. As time went by, the former captain became associated with negative labels like being cold and unfeeling.
Caldwick: After you appointed me as first mate, I noticed this crew member's keen eye for detail and his tremendously high standards for food quality. For those reasons, I transferred him to work in the supply chain for ingredients, where he naturally became a star employee of the department.
Icon Dialogue Talk Any feedback from the guests?
Caldwick: We've received nothing but positive feedback so far, captain. A guest even wrote a letter of commendation for an attendant who introduced him to billiards. According to him, our staff displayed impeccable professionalism and showed genuine care and concern for guests, which made him feel important and valued throughout his stay.
Caldwick: Some employees also came to me with feedback, though these mainly pointed out service aspects with room for improvement. All of these have been duly recorded and changes will be gradually rolled out at appropriate junctures.
Icon Dialogue Exit I don't have any more questions.
Caldwick: Understood.
Caldwick: I am of the opinion that a blind pursuit of profits will never work out, which explains why I prefer a humanistic management. It's a shame many remain unconvinced by my philosophy, adamant that Intellitrons do not understand humans.
Caldwick: It's a good thing you're not like them, captain. Thank you for placing your trust in me.
Icon Dialogue Talk I want to rename the airship and change her livery.
Caldwick: Sure, we have three different designs to choose from.
Caldwick: The Trailblaze's Stern features an insignia designed after Pom-Pom, the conductor of the Astral Express, on the tail of the airship.
Caldwick: The Tatalov features an insignia designed after Tatalov the Garbage King on the tail of the airship.
Caldwick: And... The Soaring Clock Hand, which features an insignia designed after Clockie on the tail of the airship.
Caldwick: Which design would you like?
Icon Dialogue Arrow I'll go with Pom-Pom!
Icon Dialogue Arrow I'll go with Tatalov!
Icon Dialogue Arrow I'll go with Clockie!
Caldwick: Certainly. One moment, please. I'll have someone change it right this instance.
Caldwick sends staff members to rename the airship and change her tail livery as you ordered.
Caldwick: Your design of choice has been applied.
Icon Dialogue Exit I don't have any more questions.
Caldwick: Understood.
