The Borderstar Trade War is a war between three Interastral Peace Corporation executives, namely Korapao, Telora Farnsha, and De Wayne. The simultaneous outbreak of the First Mechanical Emperor's Wars and this war is almost as tragic as Swarm Disaster.[1]
Background[]
After the Swarm Disaster, the IPC went through a reorganization through the efforts of the collaboration between Korapao and Telora Farnsha that would result in a mass expansion.[2] These two leaders would control and manage many galaxies, and this monopoly sparked the feud between the two, sparking the Borderstar Trade War.[3] This is the Nous' first unchangeable moment.[1] At this moment, the IPC's monopoly on interstellar trade had reached an unprecedented level. Meetings between political leaders of galaxies, the Ten Leaders Summit, would often talk about the power of wealth. The equilibrium of wealth was disturbed and a trade war was triggered in the poorest segmenta.[4]
It is said that anti-war proposals were submitted to the IPC before the war broke loose. Yet, the board of directors were silent, showing that they will not budge on the matter.[5]
Series of Events[]
- De Wayne saw the chance to occupy, colonize, and expropriate inorganic worlds. This is when he was recruiting mercenaries to form an armed organization. This is how he was able to match Farnsha's and Korapao's influence, and joined the war.[6][4]
- Telora Farnsha had a fallout with Cappon. Cappon didn't pay his taxes on time and this resulted in the undermining of the political system of Temptra, which was crucial to Farnsha's power. She decided to maintain an amiable relationship with the Tempra and the inorganic beings.[7]
- During the Emperor's War, Korapao hired Professor Cressitra to make a synthetic Anti-Organic Equation. It wasn't close to the real deal, however Korapao and Prof. Cressitra promised each other to never use it.[8]
- However, Professor Cressitra was soon betrayed by Korapao's Associate No.3, and believed that Korapao approved of the decision. So they decided to blow up a long-distance vessel made for Korapao, resulting in a grave Spice Ordeal happening at Temptra, which was under Farnsha's supervision at the time. Because of this, Korapao was forced to cut tied with Farnsha and fend for their own in the Emperor's War. Due to this, Korapao ordered his men to inject the synthetic Equation to avail themselves to the benefit of inorganic life.[8]
- De Wayne reached the peak of Broadened Cognition, and saw a large amount of wealth and resources on the peak of a mountain, and on that mountain laid a cast iron throne. After he went on his journey to the throne, he went for a break. There, Mythus interfered and made him hallucinate. The hallucination was about him reaching for a wealth guardian, yet always failing when he was so close. This interaction was said to feel like eternity.[6] Due to this, he lost his mind and died.[9]
Aftermath[]
In the end, Farnsha won the Borderstar Trade War, as Korapao was found hanging after being deserted by his friends and family, and De Wayne losing his mind after Mythus decided to make him hallucinate. It is said that Farnsha placed a white flower by Korapao's grave.[9][10]
