Auto-Battle is a feature in Honkai: Star Rail that automatically controls the player's team during combat.

While Auto-Battle is active, usage and targeting of abilities are determined by a variety of factors, including Skill Points, enemy weaknesses, enemy HP, team HP, Status Effects, etc.

Auto-Battle is unlocked during Simulated Universe: First Closed Beta, but may become unavailable during certain story battles. It is also unavailable during battles in Aptitude Showcases.

AI Logic[]

Common Logic[]

  • Skills are more likely to be used the more Skill Points the team has (except healing skills).
  • Healing skills favor characters with lower current HP percentage, and avoid characters with more than 80% current HP.
  • Damaging abilities favor enemies with matching weakness or are weakness broken.
    • This usually influences Single Target abilities to a greater extent than Blast abilities.
  • Single Target and Bounce Basic ATKs and Skills favor enemies with lower current HP percentage.
    • This usually influences Basic ATKs to a greater extent than Skills.
  • Blast abilities favor enemies with adjacent targets on both sides.
  • Ultimates are used immediately when available (except healing Ultimates).
  • Single Target Ultimates favor enemies whose current HP percentage is between 20% and 80%.
  • Healing Ultimates are not used until an ally reaches 50% current HP.

Ultimate Priority[]

When multiple Ultimates are ready to be used at the same time, higher priority Ultimates are used first. If there are multiple Ultimates with the same priority level, they will be used from left to right based on team slot.
