"Does a motionless scale necessarily mean it's balanced? Anyone could name at least three counterexamples. But an Arbitrator can find a hundred reasons to refute them, and it's best to never argue with them at all." — Pseudo-Perfect, School of Relative Cognition

Anomaly Arbitration is a game mode part of Treasures Lightward in Interastral Peace Guide.

Location[]

Overview[]

In order to gain access to the game mode, the player must first complete the Adventure Mission Knot-Tier Saga and speak to the Voice of the Arbitrator located in the Party Car.

The mode consists of four stages; three "Knights" and one "King" stage.

The King stage can be challenged immediately, but it is not recommended to do so as the Knight(s) will vastly empower it in a "Plight" state. Doing this is only for the sake of a challenge. Additionally, the Knight stages also have their own rewards, so it is best to clear the Knight stages before challenging the King.

Once the final Knight is cleared, the King will be put in check, causing the following changes:

  • Enemy levels in the King stage decrease from 120 to 100.
  • Enemy buffs/party debuffs are weakened by one or two stages.
  • Players have six cycles to clear both waves rather than two, and the stars gained are 1/2/3 for clearing the stage within 6/4/2 cycles respectively.

Once the King is in check, the player can reset Knight stages without putting the King back in plight. They also have the option to toggle between both modes.

As with Apocalyptic Shadow, characters can only be used once each in the Knight stages, and attempting to swap characters will prompt the game to warn the player that doing so will wipe the previous record held. Star rewards will still be retained.

Gameplay Notes[]

  • Unique to this mode, the first cycle lasts for 300 Action Value.
  • Action Value will not reset when a new wave starts.
  • If the player takes more than two cycles to clear a stage, the player's team will be given the "Middlegame Mayhem" buff, increasing their final DMG by 50% at the start of the new cycle. This is a stacking buff.
