The Alfalfa Family is one of the five great lineages of The Family on Penacony. They are in charge of economics, and are the governors of Penacony's wealth.[2]
Description[]
A group of hardworking and flexible people make up the Alfalfa Family. They run the markets of Penacony, dealing in auctions and monetary distribution while also attracting enterprises and entrepreneurs to the city. They are the economic backbone of the five lineages, and joining their ranks is often the greatest desire for Dreamchasers who seek wealth. The Pepeshi people are often members of the Alfalfa Family.[2]
They are responsible for many businesses on Penacony, such as:
In addition, the Alfalfa Family produces many types of commercial products, including cars[3] and collectable cards.[4] They also provide financial products, such as security packages.[5]
The Alfalfa Family head Lakkika is the basis for the cartoon character Shopkeeper Leaf, and his son is the inspiration for Leafy.[6][7]
History[]
The Alfalfa Family was founded by Lakkika, who was said to be an embezzler working in the IPC's Traditional Project Department.[1] It is unknown if Lakkika and Lakkika were the same person. The founder of the Alfalfa Family was recruited by the Watchmaker and helped Hanunue win the Penacony War of Independence.[8]
After Penacony gained independence, Lakkika betrayed Penacony and sought to defect to the IPC. He was responsible for the White Desert Incident, causing the fall of the Blackplum Family. He was also the suspect who summoned the IPC's fleet to besiege Penacony, causing the death of Hanunue. His secrets were exposed by his eldest son, who succeeded his position as head after he was executed by the Penaconian government.[7][9][10]
Currently, Oti Alfalfa is the Alfalfa Family Head.[11][12]

- While interacting with the Nightingale Statues inside Dewlight Pavilion, the player will be told about Gogrefan, the first Family Head of the Alfalfa Family. This is revealed to be completely made up, with Gogrefan being a replacement for the "unremarkable" Lakkika, the real first Family Head.[1]
