Additional DMG is a type of damage dealt through certain abilities. Additional DMG is not considered an attack. In combat, Additional DMG is displayed as individual damage numbers separated from other damage sources.
In general, Additional DMG is calculated very similarly to regular damage. Additional DMG can score CRIT hits and is affected by Element/All-type DMG Boost. However, Additional DMG is not affected by DMG Boost that is limited to certain DMG tags (e.g. Basic Attack, Skill, Ultimate, Follow-Up Attack, DoT, etc.) unless specified.
Ice's Frozen and Quantum's Entanglement deal Additional DMG at the start of the target's turn. Additional DMG of Frozen and Entanglement triggered by Weakness Break cannot score CRIT hits and is not affected by DMG Boost.
Abilities that "additionally deal DMG" (adds Extra DMG to Base DMG calculation) are not to be confused with Additional DMG (capitalized and underlined in description).
