0089, ordained name Sugata (Sanskrit: सुगत), is an mission-exclusive NPC featured in Event Adventure Mission Ordination from Luminary Wardance: the Series Luminary Wardance.
Profile[]
0089 was an elite soldier of the Machine Empire who had the Anti-Organic Equation. After running into the Claretwheel Temple, he decided to accompany them.
Story[]
During the Mechanical Emperor's Wars, 0089 served the Machine Empire as an elite soldier who ran the Anti-Organic Equation against its opponents. At some point prior to the Luminary Wardance, a group of monks from the Claretwheel Temple — Samatha, Revered Master Dhyana and Dharmic Monk Viyra discovered 0089's remains on an unknown planet. 0089 awakened, and sensing organic lifeforms, activated the Anti-Organic Equation in an attempt to kill them with various machines lying around, but the monks easily destroyed them. 0089 expected to be destroyed, but rather, the monks spared him, claiming that there was a power even greater than slaughter. He decided to accompany them in order to seek this "power."[1]
51 System Days before the start of the Wardance, the monks were attacked by stray borisin in Destroyed Star Cluster. Virya was fatally wounded when fighting off the stray wolves and died peacefully after the wolves ran away. When 0089 questioned the temple's commandment of "Do not kill," Dhyana explained that after she took in Samatha, she realized that she could not bury the seeds of fear and hatred in the earth of tomorrow and let Samatha become yet another chained cog in the cycle of war and bloodshed.[1]
Later, the monks were attacked by a bounty hunter who hunted down the remaining offspring of the Anti-Organic Equation, and Dhyana was killed by the hunter after pushing away 0089. The two subdued the hunter, and 0089 was given a chance to use the Anti-Organic Equation on the hunter, but canceled it. From then on, no bounty hunters appeared again. 0089 requested to be ordained to further his study, and Samatha performed the ordination and bestowed upon him the ordained name of "Sugata."[1]
3 System Days before the start of the Wardance, Samatha and Sugata were attacked by a group of the Annihilation Gang in Spaceship's Restricted Zone. Samatha wanted to sacrifice herself to create an opportunity for Sugata to escape, but he declined to execute her specific command. He drew the conclusion that everyone has the right to make their own choices, and then ran the Anti-Organic Equation, resulting in 102 deaths. He considered himself no longer a disciple of Claratwheel Temple, but a lowly sinner. However, he still wanted to complete their petition.[1]
After Samatha participated in the Wardance, she sent a special challenge to Luka. When they entered the stage aboard the Skysplitter, she revealed her true identity as a borisin. Before she could tell her petition, the match was halted by the Cloud Knights. Sugata ran the Anti-Organic Equation to protect her, causing the aurumaton on site out of control. The monks were suppressed and sent to The Shackling Prison for investigation, facing the interrogation of the Ten-Lords Commission and Yukong.[1]
Yukong questioned the 102 unidentified corpses carried by the spaceship. Sugata synchronized his data with all interrogators and admitted that he was the one who annihilated the 102 individuals. He hoped to give Samatha a chance to compete once again in the Wardance, to let all witness that Claretwheel Temple's borisin also possess similarly admirable qualities as the rest of humanity. He asked that if the Xianzhou agrees to admit Claretwheel Temple and provide an environment that allows the borisin to change themselves, would they still walk into the cycle of war and bloodshed. Yukong was unable to give an answer to his question. To demonstrate his resolve to achieve Samatha's wishes, he activated the Anti-Organic Equation again, causing all of the aurumatons to go out of control. However, he then proceeded to blow his circuits up, freeing the aurumatons from his control.[1]
Yukong arranged Samatha's rematch with Luka in the Skysplitter's lower-floor arena but with no spectators. The duel was halted in the middle by Yukong, but she would let General Jing Yuan have a conversation with Samatha and try her best to give a full account and support the Claretwheel Temple during the Six Charioteers's meeting. Samatha then gathered and buried Sugata's remains aboard the Luofu.[1]
