"Master Kucha" is a mission-exclusive NPC that appears in the Trailblaze Continuance chapter Banana Outrage: Battles Without Ninja and Humanity.

Profile[]

Master Kucha is Rappa's mentor, and was the person in charge with experimenting on her. Master Kucha's real name is unknown — this was the name that Rappa had given him during her time in a facility affiliated with Dr. Primitive.

History[]

Kucha worked alongside Umbra Headmistress as a colleague, both being Denisovans and worked at "Laboratory 17" to develop a stronger human that would meet Dr. Primitive's desired goals. They acquired a young baby from unknown sources and raised her together, eventually labeling her as AK-A-3.

As the Galaxy Rangers were pursuing anything linked to Dr. Primitive, the research facility that the two were in was sealed off and made untraceable. To help entertain AK-A-3, Kucha shared ninja manga Cosmic Ninja Inscriptions with her, thus resulting in AK-A-3 becoming obsessed with ninja training and calling him Master Kucha. As they conducted experiments on her, Kucha suggested memetic etching in order to improve AK-A-3's mental resilience, claiming that it would help her in future experiments. The Headmistress believed he pitied her, but agreed to the condition, as long as he didn't pour outdated information into her.

The Headmistress later reported Kucha to the Research Apes, claiming that he was putting the experiment in the wrong direction. The Research Apes agreed and transferred custody of AK-A-3 from him to her, preventing him from "graduating." Kucha protested the decision, stating that further experimentation would break her, but the Umbra Headmistress stated that it was his fault for making her a "lunatic" and claimed that she would give her a better environment. Rather than labeling her as AK-A-3 after completing her "ninja training," Kucha told her to give herself a name, and AK-A-3 settled on the name Rappa.

Eventually, AK-A-3 caused further trouble in the facility, prompting the Umbra Headmistress to inform Kucha that she would be replaced, though he appeared to have convinced her otherwise despite her telling him that he was responsible for making her "insane." Sometime afterwards, Kucha became disillusioned by what their research had gone to, and told Rappa to thwart the evil plans of Dr. Primitive (who she called Evil Ninja Osaru). He gave her a "scroll" that would allow her to dispel Osaru's evil, which was actually a spray can that could make digital graffiti. Rappa did so, allowing Kucha to send an alert to the Galaxy Rangers while also smuggling a gun into the facility. The Headmistress ordered him to fix the security, but soon discovered that he was responsible for the breach. Swearing that they would suffer Dr. Primitive's full wrath, the Headmistress sent two Combat Apes to kill them, but Rappa defeated both of them with ease. Kucha then told Rappa to leave, as the "trial" had been completed, and pulled a gun out on the Headmistress. She attempted to remind him of their friendship, but he was unconvinced and shot her.

Rappa would escape the facility and be discovered by the Galaxy Rangers, who recruited her to their cause after seeing her devotion to the hunt against Dr. Primitive. Although the specific context of his end is unclear, it is known that Kucha perished during the ensuing raid on the laboratory.[3]
